Nah, clearly there's going to be gold cards that look like: Quandrix Unsnarler - {G}{U} Creature - Merfolk Wizard For each {G} or {U} in a cost, you may pay {G/U} rather than pay that mana. What do you think the color pie tastes like? 2/2

I dunno, having an instant and a sorcery in your yard feels like an appropriate amount of set-up for what is effectively a better Expressive Iteration. I have a hard time imagining that a deck that wants to run an impulse would have much trouble getting this active by T4 - heck, if you break...

I could maybe see it being a niche thing like Runed Crown/Runeforge Champion? Just enough to give eternal formats another toy to ignore or be an exciting card to see while drafting the set but not enough to make "wish for all the Lessons" a Standard deck.

I'm looking at this and I'm seeing a weirdo burn/storm card for a lower power format. I'm honestly kinda curious how it'll look in play. I wonder how many prepared creatures do you need to have in your format before it's worth shoving Skycoach Waypoint into your utility land draft? ---...

Ward is an extra cost iirc, so that's actually the appropriate formatting. Compare to Sinister Concoction

While I mostly agree with you, Train, I feel like Tanazir Quandrix is a reasonable card in normal Magic if you aren't too drunk on the powercreep sauce. A 4/4 flampler for {3}{G}{U} is a solid body, and turning your other creatures into 4/4s (or bigger) when you swing in feels like a cool...
