So, my first deck has quite a strained mana base. I'm probably better of building something else...

Deck 1:

My First Grid Draft

I'm beginning to think mana is simply difficult in this format. That or I didn't draft consistently :)

Deck 2:

Deck 3:

Mana is quite difficult in this format. I'm open to suggestions of course, but that kind of comes with the territory of two-player drafting. They lean towards "good stuff, bad mana", but from my experience you can pull off fewer colors in Grid than in other formats. I was able to build my pool as a 2-color deck. Or 3. Or 5. There were options. It's challenging, I'll say that much. Ideas for improvement are welcome though.

It feels a little bit like sealed deck in that the fixing you end up with is a bit random. I suppose you can go out of your way to nab the appropriate mana during the grid draft, but then you neuter your own power level by doing so.

Some sorta utility draft afterwards? Could even just be your normal utility pile, which has some limited fixing. Maybe two picks apiece.
