Listen, I'm a guy who lives ultra-niche formats more than most. Especially when they're ultra-restrictive.
But why Micro-Cubelet? I feel like I can probably get the same ease of gameplay with a regular Cubelet.
Sage of the skies seems strong. In my combat cube it'll be a cool value piece.
But I'm even thinking about in my more powerful 360, turn 2 having 2 2/3s off the back of an unpowered mox. Seems good, not the best that moxen can do but certainly not bad.
So my first cubelet was my MH2 Cubelet, I just wanted an easy way to jam some MH2 limited and it's easy enough to throw in a bag.
Then came the One Drop Cubelet, directly inspired by an episode of LRRs Friday Night Paper Fight. Despite how you'd think the games would go with everything at 1...
I love cubelets and the format in general. I have 3 (so far) but have never played this variation.
I feel like if you're going to draw 2 it's worth designing the cubelet with it in mind. If I just tried this rule set in my 1 drop cubelet for example, games would be crazy fast.
