Don't do that. It would kill the whole appeal imo.
This whole idea is more of a thought experiment and analysis than an actual cube... So far, at least. I'd probably do 2x of the actual era cards and fill it out if I did that kind of idea, but there's a ton of ways to take it.

I think some decks get cool with new cards. Vesuvan Shapeshifter with more morphs to copy would be great, for example.

Green?
Why do you guys think that Utopia Sprawl, Search for Tomorrow, Farseek, and more saw almost no play? I have a few theories. I want to hear what you guys think so that I can take mental notes for my precious Eldrazi that constantly piss me off by costing so much.

No one replied, so here's my theories

1. The fatties weren't that good.

Those are the only two green fatties that look at all playable. No ETB or other immediate value for your investment.

These have an ETB and are probably the best two fatties.

2. Blue wrecks fatties.
Imagine hard casting any of the four above and getting it countered for 2 mana. Really hurts. Basically 50% of the meta was Remand decks. Even if you resolve your fatty, it's likely to get bounced by Venser or Riftwing, then bounced by a Blink, then bounced by a flashbacked Blink. Maybe you get a few Vindicates out of it, but you might be spending 25+ mana to get that thing to stick.

3. Red wrecks fatties.
Imagine trying to cast any of the four above before dying to red decks or combo decks that make up basically the other 50% of the meta.

4. Signets killed green.
Signets step on the toes of green's usual ramp role. Sure, Farseek is a bit better than a Signet, but not enough better to play green.

5. Goyf invalidated a lot of the curve.
Why use many mana when few do trick? Birds into 3 drop is a classic sequence, but our two drop is better than any three drop. Our 2 drop can beat some 4 and 5 drops, as well. There's less incentive to play a big dude when it has to compete with Goyf.

Maybe there's more reasons? Let me know in the comments and be sure to like and subscribe![/ci][/ci]
