    Sets (PIP) Fallout Commander Previews

I like the potential here. In an aggressive deck you’ll gladly trade life for board presence or reach and a simple Bonesplitter deals 4 damage on attack! Or a Luminarch Asprirant, a Rancor, …

Victim of the Night? It hits all of your non-Black creatures, but misses on some Vampires and Zombies. A pain to keep track of though. Skyclave Apparition Is fantastic if you don't mind it hitting multiple types of targets. Your Eldrazis are safe, not sure if that is a plus or not at 3 mana...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

Absolutely! I've found it tough to bridge that gap to keep drafting interesting. The two best options I've found that both decks can play are Call of the Herd and Hooting Mandrils. That is slim pickings though! I did consider it and I think it's a very sweet card, but it doesn't fit with my...

This discussion is about cantrips, but what it really comes down to is draw smoothing IMO. Safra mentioned cantrips, Rusje mentioned cycling and for me, they are two sides of the same coin. I think that the key to success is actually finding effects that each color wants and at a competitive...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

I think they are pretty neat. There are sequencing decisions that are interesting with a small number of tap lands, plus the balancing act of keeping it in hand to cycle or not. I especially like lands that incentivize you to draft them for synergy purposes since it’s a good way to get new...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Unsettled Mariner Does anyone have experience with this thing? Giving Ward 1 to you and all of your permanents seems annoying enough to be interesting. Not only do you mess up the opponent's curve out or ability to double spell, you also get more bang for your buck with mana denial spells...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

GY decks I’ve been focused with individual card choices for a bit and while helpful in polishing a cube list, sometimes you need to zoom out. Before I do though, I’ve noticed there are two enablers that I haven’t yet added and will probably increase the power level and explosiveness of these...

Oh, you mean like actual lands to make a pile with LftL? In that case Mystic Sanctuary could be a good fit to recur some important spells.

The 5 Dollar Fair 'Nuff Cube

Fun looking decks! I would love to see one of these Ligtning Greaves Swiftfoot Boots Anger Hammer of Purphoros Expedite so that a hasty Kessig Cagebreakers come out of nowhere and smash face.

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

100%. This is an experiment in trying to make explicit artifact payoffs in Black available rather than it being either a support color (with incidental artifacts) or a "hidden" artifact deck (colorless payoffs and open-ended Black cards that can use artifacts). Right now it's not looking great...

    Help refining my cube

I tried something similar with my first cube, trying to support all 10 wedges/shards. It was too much as Lady mentioned with isolated cards of each theme. Chris Taylor suggested I keep only 5 of the 10 combinations and it was the perfect advice. Give it a try!

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I've been considering Cat/Oven ever since I added a few more food support cards (Astrid Peth, Samwise Gamgee, The Underworld Cookbook and Tough Cookie). I haven't quite pulled the trigger but you saying it's played out fine is a nice endorsement. The Dreadknight should work, but I already have...

A good point, but you don't need very many artifacts to make a 3/3 for 3 worthwhile. If it triggers once or twice you are already happy IMO. If you can support Emry, Lurker of the Loch, you can probably use the Engineer too. There is also the fact we are getting more and more colored artifacts...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

Insidious Roots This new card from MKM has me really excited. It's a cheap, self-contained mana engine with a high ceiling that ties several themes together. I think it deserves some spotlight! We just talked about Imotekh, the Stormlord that has a similar trigger counting artifacts leaving...

Sets (MKM) Murders at Karlov Manor Previews

If I can avoid adding a keyword or mechanic as a one of in the cube, I will. Since there are a bunch of good alternatives that are pretty similar, I am ok skipping it. I do think it is one of the best because it can affect the board and the stack.
