Card/Deck Tezzeret (either one) and making them work in cube

I've had some limited success with these guys. Most of the time, Tezzeret the Seeker is in an artifact based ramp deck that also plays stuff like Upheaval or Wildfire. So you need a critical mass of mana acceleration to make it good. Personally, I don't play signets or moxes, so I've been...

    Ryan's Peasant Cube

I liked some of the Innistrad blue zombies in my peasant cube when I had it. Stitched Drake and Skaab Goliath were particularly good. I think the Goliath is notable because I felt like control sometimes had trouble closing out games, so it was helpful to have more finisher cards.

    Marwatt's 360 cube

Looks fun. I think any of the draw x, discard y blue spells would help polymorph and reanimator. You already have Thirst, so theres: Compulsive Research, Careful Consideration. Mystical Tutor would also help find polymorphs.

    Fresh Meat

I think Jason's articles on CFB are your best outreach option. Most people here are trying to do different stuff with cube than other sites, and the articles let those views be fleshed out. I think creating an environment to encourage other people with interesting ideas who are part of this...

General Life Gain as a Thing

To be fair, I don't even think Wizards has figured out how to make life gain matter, especially in limited. The life gain theme in M14 was pretty much a non-starter, for example. Extort is the only life gain type theme that really made an impact on limited in my experience, and that was probably...

General Life Gain as a Thing

The problem with life gain in mainstream cubes is that the rewards are just not worth it compared to pursuing other strategies. A lot of cards that gain life are good enough for cubes of various sizes or power levels, for example the planeswalkers. However, the reward cards are just not that...

    Jonas 360 Cube

My cube is different from this one, but the lifegain/life payment cards I'm considering for my cube are: Rhox Faithmender Felidar Sovereign Archangel of Thune Pontiff of Blight Crypt Ghast Knight of Obligation Ajani's Pridemate Feudkiller's Verdict Blood Artist Greed Tithe Drinker...

    Jonas 360 Cube

I'm working on a BW lifegain theme in my cube. I came to the conclusion that there really isn't enough stuff to reward lifegain in a big way, so I ended up adding some life payment cards. They are playable outside of BW, but get better when you can offset the cost. Stuff like any of the pay...

    Gimmicky Cube (540, unpowered, themed)

That's not a hard and fast rule, but it's been helpful in finding the cards of the right power level. I've changed some rarities, for instance, bumping Greed to uncommon. I tried to keep UB centered on "disruptive aggro/tempo." I cut Nighthawk for Marsh Flitter, which was in BR, and added...

If you cut the moxes I'd cut Sol Ring and Mana Crypt. If you don't run Tezzeret or an artifact theme you could lose more but the rocks are important in that archetype.

    Jonas 360 Cube

I think red aggro is an important deck in cube drafts for a few reasons. 1) it's an easy yet powerful deck to draft and therefore fun for players unfamiliar with the cube, 2) it keeps control and durdly decks in check, 3) burn is versatile and works well in other decks. I do think big red...

    Jason Waddell's Cube

It's hard because so many of the cards are synergy cards, not "good stuff" cards.

    MMA-style Cube

Yeah I think that's probably the way to do it. Red makes a good pair because it has good domain stuff and RG ramp helps give red more depth than just all out aggro.

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Color intensive creatures matter more than spells because it's usually more important to play creatures on curve. This is even more true in aggressive decks and it seemed like Jason's black section is more aggressive. In colors that are more aggressive or intensive, there is a greater need for...

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Yeah, I guess I'm not saying Unearth is bad, it's definitely not. Another consideration is the number of creatures in black. Because the cards are often color intensive, I think it's a good idea to keep a density of good black creatures. That's why I was looking to cut a spell, and Unearth...

    MMA-style Cube

Sunburst gets a bit of help from domain, but not so much. I think "five-color green" is an interesting archetype, but it doesn't need a lot to support it. Just good color fixing. The green player can then just pick up bombs and removal from other colors.
