    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

Continuing the combo talk, I'm really happy with the spread and look of combo decks popping up. Izzet Breach Ones 1 Lion's Eye Diamond 1 Urza's Bauble 1 Chromatic Star 1 Chromatic Sphere 1 Gitaxian Probe 1 Brainstorm 1 Mystical Tutor 1 Occult Epiphany 1 Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer 1 Lightning...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Quirion beastcaller? Seems good for any aggressive Green deck and helps give the counters deck some resilience against spot removal. Not a human unfortunately.

I like the Imp because it’s actually a good control card in slower formats. Flying + effectively deathtouch trades very well and you can then recur it trade again maybe milling a flashback card for extra value. It also mills the most out of the three.

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

Looking at some tough cuts. I’d like to include Combat Thresher It’s a good aggro beater that fits with White’s main gameplans: blink and equipment. I have a lot of 3 drops and some that are probably redundant. Looking at these 3 token makers as cuts Hallowed Spiritkeeper Adeline...

Who's the Beatdown? A Macroarchetype Cube

I guess I was suggesting that since Blue is always going to be better than the others at control, you need a clear reason to entice them to go elsewhere. Offering good value and answers in other colors is necessary, I agree with you. But if those don’t compare to the Blue alternatives why bother...

Who's the Beatdown? A Macroarchetype Cube

This is a cool write up, enjoyed reading it. In regards to Blue having the best draw and giving tools to other colors: What’s to stop Blue from also picking up those cards in addition to its draw? I think that is part of the challenge to more diverse control decks. Multicoloured cards could be...

Glasspool minic If most of the time you will be copying a merfolk lord (which generally costs 2 mana), maybe the 3 drop clone is where you want to be for curve out purposes? Even though it’s a flexible inclusion, the fact that it’s restricted to your own creatures increases the likelihood that...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

Oops, processed the post in my head, but forgot to answer here! Thanks for the responses. Plargg is a good suggestion, but I don't know if it's worth the complexity. The backside is also very decent as a stand alone White card, which adds to the complexity. A WB token deck can play the card...

Would a vehicle fill the same role? Untethered Express Fleetwheel Cruiser These are kind of equipment if you squint a little. I think these ones play fairly and will end games.

You have a point for a "normal" environment, but I was thinking in the context of my multiplayer cube, where aggro decks aren't really a thing. It's more of a fast midrange than anything else. In that context, the importance IMO, is having some staying power and both cards give you a card...

A few fights for your consideration mist-syndicate Naga vs skystrike officer which aggressively slanted 3 drop excites you most? No real ninja archetype, but still a decent amount of evasive creatures. Leaning towards the Officer, but the snowball potential of the ninja is a cool dream to...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

For me there are two factors to take into account: 1. How often do you draft? If you draft often, then even if the combo brings about some non-games it's not a big deal, better luck next time. 2. Do you run some redundancy (Enlightened Tutor, Whitemane Lion)? If you do not, the combo won't...

    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I've been looking at ways to spice up the cube and I think that a solid option would be Jeskai Ascendancy Even though it's narrow by virtue of being a three color card, it triggers off of noncreature spells making it versatile. In Jeskai colors, the most obvious way to go off would be with...

General (BRO) The Brother's War Testing/Includes Thread

For my 1vs 1 cube, on first pass Includes Simian Simulacrum Phyrexian Dragon Engine Phyrexian Fleshgorger Third Path Iconoclast I've found that Green lacks some good GY payoffs, and the monkey does a good job at it, in addition to counters and artifact synergies. It lacks trample to be really...

Awaken the Woods XGG Sorcery Create X 1/1 green Forest Dryad land creature tokens. I am weirdly attracted to this card. I already like mana sinks in Green to play with Earthcraft and friends, and this is both an enabler and payoff. Then you have the random landfall triggers this can provide...

If it helps, check out the reactions to the post. You have a Brushwaag, a Ragavan and a thumbs up. I have no clue what the first two mean but I've noticed that their presence indicates the post trends towards a joke or at least something more or less serious. The way it was phrased is also a...

Cheap Black self-mill options (this would be Stitcher's Supplier #2). Stitcher's Supplier Mire Triton Undead Butler Supplier is the cheapest, mills the most, but also has the least value. It's also breaking singleton, but I am not too worried about that. Triton is the best at stabilizing the...
