Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

I really like the Green spells package. Scaling threats, card selection and finishers at cheap CMC. Regarding the Black cards, I am scared of Grave Pact. In my experience, it can lead to some really unfun games where it's difficult to remove and there isn't much you can do to get back into it...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

Artifacts matter: (part 2) {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} There are a lot of more interesting ways for artifacts to go than the ones I have chosen here, but I need some simple to understand/execute and powerful archetypes for my drafters. They are used to drafting good stuff decks and I am trying to win them...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

This discussion about Citadel is convenient as I was wondering about supporting it too! In faster environments, I think it does need a bit of support. Casting it on turn 6 in a deck not meant to optimize it is going to be depressing. You probably won’t have the ressources (life) to make it...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Borrower: What I meant is it could be a good target for the creature fall cards. Vault Skirge: Not special, but evasive, beater that has small equipment synergies. A little worse than Gingerbrute, but colorless 1 mana value creatures are great IMO as they add to the density to all colors.

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

I like Signal Pest, you could also consider Vault Skirge As an evasive beater that wears equipment well. It's an artifact to be recurred by Emry or bypass Canonist too. I think you could justify running Clique, SFM, Venser or Borrower, but Smuggler's Copter is too strong IMO. Brazen...

    General Fight Club

That's a very convincing argument. I also have Korvold, Fae-Cursed King doing good work with lands + artifacts too so it would help reinforce the strategy.

    General Fight Club

Judith, Scourge Diva vs Mayhem Devil I am currently running Judith as an aristocrat payoff, but also a card that plays well in most aggressive decks. However, the Sacrifice Lures thread had me thinking that maybe the Devil is a better fit for my environment. The biggest selling points are: -...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

Artifacts matter: (part 1) {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} For whatever reason, artifact decks are among my favorite (cube or otherwise) so I wanted them to be supported in my cube. One of the well documented issues with artifacts is that most payoffs want you to cast or find artifacts, but most of the...

    Sequence Cube

The Antiquities War? Not only searches for artifacts but also encourages you to flood the board with them for a big turn. I think this is the catch. Ravager is already a narrow card as you need a high artifact density as well as your deck being aggressive. So having it be weak a majority of...

    Sets (VOW) Crimson Vow

I am loving these two: The blink spell scales well and being an instant means it has a lot of play to it. It can be used to remove blockers and get some cards down the line, save your creatures from removal or just so much value with some ETBs. The Blue creature is clearly going to be better...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

Spells matter: (part 2) {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} Spells tokens {W}{U}{R} This is a much more straight forward archetype to support than Storm. Whereas in the Storm decks, these cards served more as roadblocks, here they the actual payoffs Young Pyromancer Clarion Spirit Monastery Mentor Chandra...

Sets (VOW) Crimson Vow Testing/Includes Thread

This set wasn't a hit for me, but I am still excited by what I am including. Including Manaform Hellkite The dragon is (hopefully) going to be my "fair storm" win condition in Red since it provides explosive potential. I was previously running Firebrand Archer in desperation and it didn't cut...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

I was thinking about continuing my guild breakdown I started in the first page of this thread, but then I realized it doesn't make much sense. My cube is built around broad themes spanning multiple colors rather than using a guild structure. So here goes. I have 5 major themes I support: Spells...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

The fact that I don’t have Lutri in the cube is because I have similar issues with it. However, I will be using Expansion // Explosion as a flexible Fork option that also stays hybrid. I think you should check it out too!

General Tournament of Champions: Community Sealed Event

Flash burn: A tempo deck with cheap threats and lots of instants/flash creatures. Counterspells to protect your lead and burn to close out the game out of nowhere. Giddy up: A Bant control deck based primarily in GW. Ramp up using Green. Blue refills the hand and White takes care of opposing...

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

Thanks. Hero is a great one that i missed. If I feel the need to expand the package, then it is definitely #1 on the list. That is a great point. What are people's thoughts on the following: Warrant // Warden Depose // Deploy Response // Resurgence Revival // Revenge Flower // Flourish...

    Sets (VOW) Crimson Vow

I was just thinking that this might be the "fair storm" Red win condition I've been looking for! Very playable base stats and triggers off any noncreature spell and the effect is certainly powerful.

    Sets (VOW) Crimson Vow

I really like this one at first glance. Decent body, relevant tribe, with a great keyword and that exploit is something! Biggest gripe: another 3 drop that fits into aristocrats.

    Card/Deck Boros spells aggro

I definitely agree with this base Leonin Lightscribe Seeker of the Way Clarion Spirit Soul Fire Grand Master I've also had good success with Syndic of Tithes. Obviously much more powerful in my environment with 3 opponents, but if your spells deck is aggressive, then the damage can add up and...
