General (SNC) Streets of New Capenna Previews

That to me is awesome news. Hopefully it sets a precedent where they do stuff like this more rather than trying to pigeonhole every cycle completion into an exact flavor and mechanic match.

    General Removal density

Good upgrade to this data. My ratio is 204 creature : 85 removal ≅ 2.4:1 I included token-producers in this count, as IMO a token can just as much need removal pointed at it as any other creature, depending on the situation. If we don't want to do that though, my nontoken:removal is 185...

if Smith started out as a 2/2 or a 2/1 I'd be down for it.

Not particularly. Bridge decks aren't really even GY decks in any "fair" sense, because they rely on the looping creatures as Bridge procs on creature going battlefield->graveyard.

General Weekly Fun Q: What is your most expensive card?

Hmm. I really have no idea. I haen't been in touch with the MTG card market in like 4 to 5 years. I'll guess my signed copy of:

I think Barbarian Ring is my choice. It's a more interesting card to play with IMO, and doesn't have annoying trinket text. It also hits creatures, which makes it's ability almost automatically better.

For clashing in combat Kyodai is much better. Unfortunately the 5 color ability is weird and cluttery, and there's a lot else that slot could be doing besides "surprise blocks".

Pirate guns and Cowboys guns are a fundamentally different vibe. I cannot picture a Pirate in a situation where Big Iron is playing and actually making sense. Unless a Cowboy is also there.

Rex is awesome for reanimator. A target that's actually exciting without being a win-more mythic. So many other options are just... not enticing at all for an actual reanimator deck. Sure tusker is value, but it's just that, value. Not many look at it and immediately go "this would make a great...

One is a deck-based card advantage engine that rewards you for playing out spells and filling the grave, and the other is a GY-based CA engine... that rewards you for playing out your spells and filling the grave. I think they can both play quite well in an environment.
