    General Fight Club

It looked bad in my cube too, like a clunky Jalum Tome (which is already not playable in my cube). I suppose it can be good in graveyard heavy decks and cubes when discarding is more upside than downside, though.

Sorry about that, next draft the time will be more Europe-friendly :)

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Dungeon is really strange and looks horrifying from an accessibility perspective, but will probably play well. I don't think analysis paralysis will be a problem after a couple of times we play venture cards. I don't like the mechanic right now, but I could see that changing. I ran a D&D...

No need, you can just nominate at the time we gather. I'd be stoked to play your cube :)

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Ooo that seems interesting! Clues in the Woods - 1U Instant - Mystery Wilderness Investigate. (Create a colorless Clue artifact token with “{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.”) Advance the plot. (Search your library for a Mystery and/or Wilderness card. Reveal it, put it into your...

    General CBS

I pay a small amount ($3) every month, but there are different tiers. My wife owns a fansite (unrelated to Magic) which is a pretty significant expense in our budget, so I empathize with them. Ads don't really pay much, and I believe that's more of a mitigation and incentive to becomes a...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Seasoned Hallowblade This is not just a low power card, but I suspect it scales to power level since discarding a card is a heftier cost when card advantage isn't easy to come by. I have never played it though, so wanted to know what you think of it. The main reason I'm considering it is that...

General Using Cube Cobra statistics, what are the most unique cards in your list?

9.7% of my core module is 0-1% 12.8% of my core module is 1-2% A lot of that is related to the unusual Bwg -1/-1 counters archetype I run, the focus on equipment and on generic tribal, and the WU tappers archetype. Cards here that I can recommend to low power cubes that aren't running...

    General 180-card "Twobert"

When I've played 180 card cubes more than once, it felt repetitive, significantly less deep than 360 card cubes. Caveat is that I don't have _extensive_ experience with them (I just had one for a few drafts), and I do personally value variety a lot. If you'd prefer to keep the list 360 or...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Yeah, I think it could work if you only had Pathways, but still would be such a strong force pulling you into 2 colors. 3 colors can use 30% of pathways while 2 color decks can use 10%. Also, if you're playing on paper, we kind of hated flipping them in sleeves. "...sigh, I guess I *really*...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Well, my itself it would be, but in conjunction with other duals, particularly with other taplands, it mitigates their disadvantage by being an untapped land, and you can always choose the color your other dual isn't. So... it still works as well for 3c as for 2c.

Utility lands in general. Like Castle Vantress, Treetop Village, Barren Moor, Barbarian Ring etc. In terms of fixing, there isn't much. I thought Pathways would be better for 2c, but they really weren't when I tested them.

    General Fight Club

As a player, pretty much never, but Unbridled Growth is more interesting since it asks the player whether they are done with the fixing and can cash it in for a card. I don't think I'd maindeck Unbridled Growth very often in your cube, though.

    General The Fixing and I

I think I need to bring this back a little bit to my cube with a slightly different premise - the comfort that if you can stick to two colors, you'll have a reasonable deck. Thank you all for the discussion. I'm learning a lot of things even beyond matters about fixing, like that I can probably...

    General The Fixing and I

Well, that's a really good question. I didn't know, so I went and drafted my cube, then redrafted the seat imagining I had perfect mana. Didn't figure it out, then I went and drafted Attack on Cube. What I felt is that when I have to pick a couple of colors instead of be able to cast anything...

    General The Fixing and I

CubeCobra bots exacerbate this because they love to pick fixing, so it creates an incentive for fellow human players to draft few colors. You get passed a lot of card quality, but not much fixing. I bet it would've been more correct to be 2.5-3.0 colors in Ravnic's Arena Cube in a pod with only...

    General The Fixing and I

Agree that this can't be taken as dogma. It's nuanced, and your explanation was great. Well, constructed has a crucial difference from limited - if everyone's playing blue in limited, you have incentives not to play blue. This makes limited more enjoyable to me because my favorite aspect of...
