    General Nega-Cube on Magic Online

Isn't all the "memory" between drafts just the Elo rating? I noticed it wobbles within 150 points, but that's not that large a difference.

    General [STX] Strixhaven Spoilers

I mostly agree from the point of view of limited. The KHM MDFCs are so, so wordy that people keep missing what they do and it's humanly impossible to read one during a draft pick. Some are interesting to play with, others are just bombs, but they get more interesting when you build a deck with...

It'll be really "digital first" when we get triple faced cards. But I already removed Pathways from my cube simply because it is so annoying to take them out of sleeves.

So... 3RR for 5 damage to 1 target, 6RR for 10 damage to 2 targets? 9RR, the dream, for 15 damage to 3 targets. Yeah, that's... raw. Most similar spell I can think of is Fight with Fire, which has a much better base case but less achievable kicker. I don't think that will be very good in 1...

It isn't really a Baneslayer because it can be chumped on offense and gains no life on defense, so it swings the tempo way, way less. It's not a removal check like Baneslayer is by any means.

I really like how Tuskeri Firewalker plays, but it might be too weak for my cube. The ability on a 3/2 for 3 was good in KHM limited, but definitely not overpowered. Conspiracy Theorist may overshoot the mark because it's in a more efficient body, but if it does, it'd be more because of synergy...

    GBS

Hades is really, really good. My favorite game of last year, easily. The combat is so satisfying, the dialogue is great, and it fixes all the problems I had with roguelikes! Not going to say much more about it as to not spoil anything.

By the way, I wanted to say the condescending attitude of "we are ahead of everyone else" is toxic. Yes, I like that the people in this forum think outside the box, and I appreciated that we celebrate exploring new space here instead of shooting ideas down. But we should be humble and...

Was Riptide Lab a thing in 2012? I'd say low power is a 2016-17 trend. It's probably convergent thinking, but I got strong Archetype Shapes vibes: "Most archetypes are present in three (or more) colors, even though most decks in those archetypes will tend to play two colors or a splash...

    General [STX] Strixhaven Spoilers

I'm happy to see control tools in WR. I don't like the divide between "control colors" and "aggro colors", or "control pairs" and "aggro pairs". UB is pretty good at both control and aggro-control, so I don't see why WR should be limited to aggro. White in particular suffers from lack of card...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Basalt Ravager I know you've already mentioned it, but its worst case is pretty close to a Skeleton Archer. I'm trying it out in my cube, and considering how good the card is in Kaldheim, I expect it to be a good low power replacement for Flametongue Kavu. I've also been waiting for the Fire...

Can you speak a bit more about what you like better in Force of Virtue than Glorious Anthem? Is it more interesting? How do they compare in power level?

I have never played a battlebox. How do you play it? Is there a good primer for the format?

General Introducing the Cube Map – find out how your cube fits within the Cube Universe!

The Elegant Island is a rock just off the north coast of Peasantine. At first glance, it's just an odd peasant cube with rares, but geological findings show it broke off the mainland of Cubanica years ago and drifted south, picking up bits and pieces of debris from Sinergia and Tribalia along...
