This looks like a better use of a slot than Edge of Autumn or Explore. Even if it seems extremely strong. brainstorm into this is a lot of ramp for very little effort!

Urza's Saga goes in everything, even if it's good in Lands.dec Some good targets: Mox Diamond Retroffiter Foundry Sensei's Divining Top plus Baubles, Equipment, etc.

Emry is a lot of fun and inherently fair in that it's a creature. You can tweak your cube to include her.

Mutation is just overdesigned. They wanted player to put several cards into one creatyre. However, Magic punishes that kind of play extremely harshly because you can just blow up the creature. Hence. they tried to add all sorts of wonky exceptions to make it work despite the whole game telling...

This is it for me, too. We have all the enablers and tricks in the world, but not enough cards that actually want to be discarded or played from the graveyard. At least for my power level.

It's a good example of just how few creatures were played back then and how opressive Oath of Druids, which wasn't even a tier 1 deck, was.

It seems to me Magic is deep into that "Comic book bullshit" where writers try to come up with even more cataclysmic, game-changing events they are unable to handle and all without actually killing characters or upsetting the status quo much. Has Magic had time travel yet? Seems like it will...

It absolutely has. It sounds cynical, but Magic is no longer a game first, but a brand. From planeswalkers, to the aggrandizing art, to reflecting your real-life identity through your hard-bought commander, it's a core drive of the design.

I haven't seen anything that interests me other than Drown in Ichor or what have you.

I really like that Aristocrats Paradox deck! It has a bit of blink, too, which is fun. Elixir of Immortality is a pet card of mine. I'm not sure if a fast multiplayer cube is the best place for it, but I do think it's better than Noxious Revival, which, for some reason, has always been...

Note that Crovax doesn't count because that version of him comes from Planar Chaos. I do think the ability to pay life like this doesn't feel very white, but it's true that it's not unheard of. Also, Mana Tithe is white to me, so I might just be a hypocrite.

Venerated Rotpriest looks great for Heroic subthemes, but I wish it did anything other than give poison counters.
