Yeah, this set is full of weird cards that are tough to evaluate. That's why I don't mind the occasional pushed straightforward powerhouse like Chandra or Cloudblazer, since so much of the rest of the set is so interesting. I'm really happy with it so far.

Holy shit, a UW walker I can play! ...except I'm probably running Cloudblazer instead.

My guess is that the border looks a lot better in person with the foil than it does on a computer screen.

Sure it does. "Creatures target player controls get +2/+0 and haste until end of turn." I ran Torrent of Souls for a long time and it never did anything. My list has a pretty highish power level, though, so it might not have had room to breathe. In a lower power list it could shine.

I doubt I'm gonna run the card, but this is easily the best name in the set thus far. I like this a lot. Like, more than Mulldrifter, maybe. Mulldrifter is just so generically goodstuff and powerful, this may be an acceptable compromise.

This card is weird, but cool, which seems to be the mantra for this set. I might like it as a Phyrexian Arena alternative.
