Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
The balanced version of this card is only available in Korean. I thought it would be fun and interesting and almost was but its just.. so pushed.
My gut tells me that those control decks lack sufficient finishers for the level of removal they're up against. Inferno titan and sunblast both just kind of kill things, then eat a single kill spell and die, which is what makes them weak finishers. With the removal being so strong and plentiful...
I love control mirrors, esp in cube. I like how skill intensive they get. What do your control decks look like? Do they have a ton of card draw? What are their threats/finishers?
I second Pearl Lake Ancient as a sweet finisher. Powerful but super fair.
What Rowan said. Why sac your thing when I can just use it? I think this needs lower cost yoink effects that have drawbacks, which is more red than blue.
How did I not see that. I didn't think I wanted to pay Rhythm at all, but now I have to consider it as redundancy for Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. Maybe the power level is too low for me though.
I feel like you should only be able to play cards from the market during your own turn. The only time you can ever play a card on the market on your opponent's turn is when the card is an instant and then since both players simultaneously can cast it, its going to get disgustingly messy. It...
I tried Zur and my drafted tried him but I just can't get to the critical mass of enchantments to support him without overhauling my cube. I have like 9 zur targets in esper right now in a 12 person cube. I think I would need at least double that.

I drafted Ravnic's cube. Mostly prioritized signets and fixing. Found lots of wildfires and tried to find ways to abuse them as much as possible.
Outpost Siege vs Experimental Frenzy
I was amazed by Frenzy's performance on SCG coverage. The ceiling of drawing several cards a turn is bonkers. I'm thinking about replacing Outpost Siege with it but I'm not sure about giving up the alt mode and nonboing with other card draw effects. I don't...

I've thought about changing it up for 15x3 works so well. Any less and I'm afraid there just won't be enough cards seen to build functional decks. More cards maybe. Breaking up into 4 packs maybe but I like the way packs do almost 2 wheels. I could do something more complicated like cards being...
Sword of D&D has been kept in check in my meta just from the fact that it doesn't grant evasion. I imagine the others would be fine but not really game ruining without protections. Your environment better have good removal and lots of creature though, and not too much in the way of hexproof or...
I have been considering Goggles. I know some people are all over Goggles for spells decks but I feel like only working with red spells is too narrow. Chandra, the Firebrand might actually be better for what I want, but it might be a little weak.
Nexus of Fate is cute but seven mana is way too...
Time WarpTemporal ManipulationCapture of Jingzhou
Anyone have experiences with time warps in cube? I've been thinking about experimenting with a taking turns archetype(subtheme?) featuring cards that work well with these like Narset Transcendent. Mostly because I happened to pull a foil Time...
I would like to see the list these people are using and how they built it. I can't tell if this is just getting extra use out of a cube or something made specifically for this format. It feels like you need heavy color fixing. I wonder if this would end up being similar to grid drafting in that...
