I've had Ashnod's Coupon played against me before. That type of card is awesome. Some nice, innocent fun and you don't even put any price burden on the targeted player.
My wife actively hates resolving it and will call me up to her computer to help her with it in cockatrice matches. If your playgroups like it that's all well and good, but it's not universally loved.
FoF and Gifts are "compatible" except that often a deck would rather just run FoF and not deal...
Sometimes both players have fun, but that's very player and gamestate specific. Some players HATE resolving a FoF for various reasons.
That variance in play experience means it's never coming back to my cube, especially now that there are better options anyways.
Nailed the art direction on the lands. They are great.
Saw in Half is one of those cards that reads really weirdly the first time because it inverts the normal application of the abilities being used (destroy). Great card tho.
Anyone who uses Cockatrice, can you tell it to show you specific basic lands? Right now it's showing the black and white promo MID basics, and they are such a pain to keep track of, especially when small on a computer screen.

Yeah the added redundancy can really help with the consistency of an equipment plan in a tempo-aggro deck, if only to give a bit more leeway in the draft for other decks to also take an equipment or two without impacting a Trinket Mage or other specific plan. Shadowspear is another option if the...
Yeah, pretty lame overall. Art that is designed to be viewed in color just doesn't have nearly the pop it does when viewed in B&W
Consider loses the focal point pops of color from the geist reflecting in Ivold's golden looking glasses, and the right hand is already a little murky in the color...
One thing I might recommend in trying to push a tempo context for Mage is inclusion of another equipment or two at 1CMC so the Mage can serve as a fairly reliable Stoneforge Mystic variant. My goto 3rd choice:
trusty machete
Yeah seems more tenable in a deck with more than one of them, ideally 4. With 4 of them you can start churning them out (assuming the first one meets an untimely demise), because after the first one ETBs on cycle, the other 3 do so too when they are drawn.
[looks up "copacetic"]
Huh
That's quite a... copacetic word
I don't think SFM is overbearing. It can singlehandedly tie an equipment package together (a good thing), works with stuff like blink, and is only as powerful as the equipment it can find. As long as you don't include Batterskull you...
