Agree with Japahn here. Maybe it's easier if you visualize it as bombs in a retail environment. You'll have the same number divided among fewer drafters, this more bombs per drafter. It's definitely a dynamic change.

Plus, unless you're drawing all burn and no creatures, in most cases it's more efficient to clear out blockers and attack than to trade your attackers and shoot face. Personally I don't mind if players occasionally get burned out from 8 or whatever.

I feel like if you're shelling out 6-mana for a wrath, I don't mind the Exile. If they want the creatures in their graveyard, they've had 5+ turns to play a sac outlet. :slicin:

I think until this actually happens you don't have much to worry about.

I think the storytelling element is a bit of it. I loved the game where I had to Ender's Game hide my wincon from you and then had a secret last minute sneak win with Thassa's Oracle. Perhaps swinginess is what I'm looking for. In some formats / decks, I just have this feeling of peril as the...

Talking with @Chriskool, he said: Peek Hard Evidence Cabal Therapy This is the kind of thing my deck was trying to do. But, IF everything goes well with the cards above, and you name correctly with Therapy twice, you end up with a 4-for-3. It's fun play, but I do think there's something about...

I guess, if we imagine the decision space as a physical space, a 'dry' environment has lots of paths that are physically very close to each other, even if those small differences can create very meaningful differences in win percentage. A small advantage the size of a 2/2 bear could be enough of...

    General Wetness

I think maybe an adjective for the 'dry' side would be technical. I think part of it is the size of the margins that your decisions relate to. In Pauper I plated a couple of decks (mono-blue Delver, Grave Scrabbler madness), and the games were fairly decision dense, but it was hard to always...

I'm not fully sure how to verbalize this concept. When playing @Chriskool's Meddling Mage Grid, I really appreciated the design. There were tons of cool synergies and interesting interactions that unfolded as we played. But even though there were plenty of strong cards around, something about it...
