Oh and a more serious one, since we were talking about Brass Man Cheap Ass A virtual 1/4 for 2 that makes spells cost 1/2 a mana less. (which is relevent if you want to cast 2 spells a turn.)

1/1 for 2, evolve, with Modular ability that can put the counters on any creature. Spined Thopter is decent in my cube with not a lot of flyers and no forked bolt, limited cheap removal, etc. Still not great, but is an easy late pick for any aggro deck needing more creatures.
