General Alternate Wins in Fair Cubes

I think this can be wrapped back to the agency players have in a game. Players like the chance for their decisions to matter. Easy combos can take a game before the opponent has a chance to use the tools they drafted for themselves and have at their disposal at that moment. I think this is the...

My favorite version of this is the Jace. Repeatable thought scours!!

General Favorite Cards You Don't Run

yeah it's pretty hard in practice, even with BLB cycling lands (which I do). the cards like drake haven that have the "or discard" are much more workable.

As no on warp world, because it would be very difficult to actually gain an advantage with it (have it be a win con). It's difficult for it to be a wincon in EDH, let alone cube. I voted mill because it's the much more BS version of burn that you can't counter with lifegain.

I've always thought Rankle is super strong. Like compare to braids, cabal minion which of course extends the sac into lands and artifacts, but still seems quite outclassed by Rankle, especially with the hand-draining ability.

    Non-White Graveyard Party

I wouldn't worry that much about color balancing to do all that shuffling! One card off in slots will never be detectable by your drafters, and your proposed workaround is pretty iffy (Alesha isn't jund, even if it's desirable for her to be). I ran tasigur in a black slot and it worked out great

Still mostly a Temur card, especially since I can count the number of W, B, and G cards from those lists in the core of the cube on one hand. Also not a three drop like japahn was looking for. Call of the Herd is already in the cube, so we can probably stop recommending that one lol. My vote of...

General Do you enjoy playing Chess?

Old enough to know how markets work, and to know that humans are more multifaceted than "new shiny games with expansion packs are here, so simple games are a no-go". "If you tried to design a garden rake these days, it would never sell. they have rotovators/rototillers and power harrows now"...

General Do you enjoy playing Chess?

You don't have to agree. I think it shows itself as such whether you agree or not, otherwise it wouldn't still be played to such a wide degree after so long. What I don't think it is is an overly "capitalism friendly" game, because there are no expansion packs to coax further money out of...

General Do you enjoy playing Chess?

Some people like "simpler" games still today. I doubt that just it's historic significance is what drives modern purchase and play of the game. I think that it's still played after so long shows that it is in fact a superior game design compared to most, with lasting power, replayability etc.

    General Fight Club

This probably leads to your desired outcome overall, since FoF is more "generic" so would be picked more highly in a non-committal deck. In it's absence Gifts has more breathing room. I would still try to find something a little more straightforward if you need to fill out a blue four drop draw...

For your cube, probably FoF. I don't really like how it plays, but it's probably better matched to the other cards I see in the list.

    General Removal density

Ok I did my count and I seem to be at about 21.1%. A little lean, as I suspected. And I did count bounce, but did not count counterspells. Plenty of conditionality in my suite: portable hole collective effort repeal lash of malice inscription of ruin flame jab primal might

    General Removal density

I haven't taken the time to manually count and/or filter my cube yet, but I feel like I am also on the slightly lean side, and I also heavily favor conditional removal that encourages creativity in usage and drafting.
