    General Fight Club

Yeah the 5/5 being much more sturdy than 4/4 is the major upside of the Goliath. I can see switching to the Krushok, but am currently happy with the beef the Goliath brings.

For that same cost I would probably much rather play Reinterpret

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

This is putting into words pretty much exactly what I've felt about the set, and made me realize that I would've liked the latter much better.

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Another deck spoiled. This is a pretty nifty combo of abilities. Perfectly reasonable body with a nice "ward" suite. I like the base +1/+1 counter ability, and it can pile up counters fast with that second ability. But die rolls... Interesting intersection of Equipment and +1/+1 counters...

This seems like another strong cog for a treasures archetype

General My peasant cube: what am I missing?

The land disruption and mill strategies may not be helping with the "functionality" part. They are parasitic and divisive strategies - a couple of reasons why they are shied away from.

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Not if you make it free and/or add the tokenmaking. R and to some extent B have several cards that steal the opponents card for your own use... as long as you pay for it. Permanent control swapping style effects are firmly blue still

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

Also making it instant and out of color pie... it would fit better to just shave a mana off of the actual card Fractured Identity.

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

A 4 mana instant permanent control magic effect that also gives you an ETB off their creature? Seems wicked strong...

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

I really like Death Tyrant. Good combination of an interactive trigger and GY recursion on a non-overbearing body. Probably will replace Bontu for it. I like Ebony Fly too, but I don't think it operates in the same slot as liquidmetal torque does. One could certainly swap out the torque for it...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

That's a pretty good start. I would say next lay out (and/or re-layout) four themes for the color to interface with (namely one main theme per Gx pair). That should give more room to start polishing the creatures from there. Is this meaning "literally every green noncreature spell is up in the...

    Card/Deck The Selesnya Conclave (GW)

Does that make a deck that uses Courser of Kruphix, Oracle of Mul Daya, and other non-sac land ramp No Till? ;)

    Card/Deck Grixis Treasures

Yeah there aren't any treasure producers that allow you to freely splash whatever you want. They don't produce treasures efficiently or consistently enough to be treated like that. Splashing for a Bring to Light would definitely be a possibility, but you aren't just tossing in multicolored cards...

    Card/Deck Grixis Treasures

I've also had a lot of luck with Painful Truths in the past. Perfectly serviceable black pain-for-draw spell As mentioned, making sure there are artifact themes to tie into would be pretty important I think. breya's apprentice goblin engineer pia and kiran nalaar And if the archetype goes...
