General (AFR) Dungeons and Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Testing/Includes Thread

Forgot about this little gem. Definitely testing this over faerie seer due to the artifact synergies

    Card/Deck Grixis Treasures

This is a really good point. In a high fixing environment the treasures would have to work purely as a ramping function. In a cube with moderate fixing, the deck could also benefit from the any-colors angle to get some actual advantage. Also agree that you would want actually expensive things...

    Card/Deck Grixis Treasures

Magma Opus and that other one from Strixhaven would be potential "big spells" as top end for this deck plan. They make treasures too!

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

You can pay the {B} per turn to get your normal draws. they aren't gone forever. Still not the best, but the draw 7 ability does not cost that much, so you shouldn't be coming out negatively overall... Edit: BUSTED with Necrotic Ooze!

    Card/Deck Tutor for a Tutor...

For Artifact (or enchantment) shenanigans, I'm on Enlightened tutor goblin engineer trinket mage Tutors that can find anything is something that I don't really run, besides gamble gifts ungiven I have a decent land-tutor package, especially if we are counting land cycling, which I do elvish...

If Asmodeus didn't also lock away your normal draw-per-turn it would be a lot stronger, but it's only a rare, so it's not going to be the same style of busted as Griselbrand. Still a repeatable source of draw-7, which is pretty strong.

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Courser and Oracle secretly support this, because you are playing lands off the top, which leave more in hand to discard.

I use Knight of the Reliquary as my crop rotation style card.

I think I'm on, in varying degrees of "meh" I can also see running this for my GY and lands themes

If you can lose by turn 4ish, then sure. The card probably wouldn't be in that type of cube to begin with.

I really like this equipment. An effective and cheap source of repeatable haste.

Combos. Earthcraft In cube you are probably correct. The anthem ability puts the 'spitter above the nest.

I don't really think many cubes have room for this. That said, this is a lot more powerful than the token copy mode of Epiphany. This can target any creature on the battlefield for both halves, which is much more flexible. You can double up your finisher. You can make one of your creatures into...

    General Fight Club

It's really interesting how "subtle" the overload part really is. Had to show it to my wife a cuople times for her Nevinyrral EDH deck that it was just another wrath of god. Didn't click right away. I love the idea of "underload" as a custom mechanic lol.

2 more one drops on turn 2 can turn it into a 2/2, which is the "standard" rate for a premier aggro one drop. Seems quite promising, as even two triggers puts it well above the "normal" P/T range for a white 1 drop, besides a couple notable examples. Has the issue of any scaling threat like it...

#synergy with the Monk. I like that they are utilizing the loyalty counters as a sort of "devotion" mechanic, where Bahamut is only unleashed when they've reached appropriate loyalty levels. Not planning on including it because of the A+B nature of the card, but neat thing they did with the...

If you want Edric as a clear signpost for what UG decks can do, I would leave him, but I can definitely see adding Grazilaxx as a Mono U option. If you want Edric's slot for something else, Graxilaxx + Toski can frame UG as a lots-of-creatures-dealing-combat damage guild.

Just the last ability makes the Paladin nicely flexible for any format that isn't "maximum speed". I currently don't think I have room for it, since it doesn't interact that directly with my {B} themes, but I could definitely see running it. Maybe in place of Deadeye Tracker or something. It...
