Sets Shadows over Innistrad Spoilers Thread

I'd almost always rather have a spell in hand than in the graveyard. I think the original transform clause is much better.

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

I'm just popping in to say thanks for the great replies. I've read them all, and have started making some adjustments on cubetutor. I'm in the middle of buying a home, and don't have the time to reciprocate with an equally thoughtful response at the moment. Just know it is appreciated, and when...

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

I don't think that low land aggro decks exist in my cube right now. Having so few 1-drops, I expect most of my aggro decks will have a couple 4cmc curve toppers. That may need to change soon, as the scales are definitely tipped in favor of midrange and control. Otherwise, I'd need to slow down...

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

Will make a more thorough reply with the next update, but in the meantime: Goblin Bushwhacker has never been good enough to really be called a finisher in my experience. I almost like Haze of Rage a little more with all the prowess support. I'm also thinking about these: Hellrider vs Hero of...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Psychatog has always been pretty good for me. It usually ends up playing like The Abyss for a few turns. It also plays well with bounce-lands. I've see it built around a few times in Sultai alongside a Hooting Mandrills, Tasigur, or Gurmag Angler....Cantrips/Filter draw, Recursion, Spell-based...

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

Pyromancer's Goggles is a card I totally forgot about, but would really like to include. Maybe I'll cut Rite of the Raging Storm for it. Hero discounts bestow dudes and removal auras as well. He only needs one trigger to be one of the most aggressive creatures at 2 cmc in the cube. I have...

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

I've been working on overhauling the list, and here's where I'm at currently: http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/45049 I trimmed out a lot of misc goodstuff. OGW has been added. Red has a little more of a discard/self-recursion thing going on. Extra enchantment support with Hero of Iroas and...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

It's also good for stacking counters on Shrine of Loyal Legions at instant speed. That seems like a really good option in this environment. I may include it as well.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

I cut Emancipation Angel to keep color commitments a little lighter in that slot. I really like the angel, but Flickerwisp is much more dynamic in combat and with the bouncelands. Having both in white started to tip the scales in regards to power:cmc, and gave white disportionately too much...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Embolden always played fine enough in peasant, but no one was ever thrilled to draft it. Shelter saw a lot more play and with much more enthusiasm. Although, I wasn't supporting heroic at the time. On that note, how many people are supporting heroic?

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

My go to trample enabler is: Sylvan Might The Helm is too clunky for my liking, Not exactly something I'd be excited to draft. If it's stats were +2/+0, I'd be more interested.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Another card that we were high on that's equally a gem: lust for war Good for removing a blocker and being a fair sulfuric vortex. It's also pretty good in decks with walls and icy manipulator, or decks with heavy life drain/gain components like blood artist and extort.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Deftblade is great. He can do some serious work for a one drop. Great with bonds of faith to start mowing critters down early. A card that has been an all-star in peasant for me that I don't recall seeing much discussion of: Lashknife Barrier It's one of the more interesting anthem...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Lust for War is amazing, and often feels like a reasonable Sulfuric Vortex. A reasonable cut could be Magmatic Insight, as it's rarely more than an awkward/bad Forgotten Cave imo.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Bombardment still strikes me as too savvy and hassle-free for my liking. I'd run Barrage of Expendables before I'd cut the effect entirely from red's pool. Barrage promotes a more aggressive strategy than Stormbind does, and aggro needs those incentives imo. There's also more combos with a...

Stonewright has always been a beast for me in peasant, and I think it's far superior to the other two.

    Inscho's Turn 2 Cube

Ok that makes a lot of sense to me. I'm definitely leery of slowly creeping up the power, so I'll bring Elite Scaleguard back.... Perhaps this guy instead of Cytoplast Root-Kin and Woodland Wanderer? Renegade Krasis Although my Green 3's are already a little crowded. And would be this...
