How many cheap cards do you have in hand on turn 5/6? Likely not many. Hoe many cheap cards do you draw with 2 additional cards? Likely not many. It is highly variable and likely nowhere close to 3x2. More likely just 2 damage. Is that enough?

Thing is, it costs 5, that’s why it is likely bad. With the embrace the cost is 3, which could allow you to play an additional spel this turn. Furthermore the embrace can be used much earlier to make land drops and so on.

The crystal ramps and can tap for different mana each time. 3 mana ramp one is not that great though

Why interesting? You turn the petal in a 2/1 for 0. And then you cannot recur it. All fine and dandy but who cares about a 2/1?
