Playing with emotions is very much in red’s part of the flavor pie though. And a creature fighting itself (“Stop! Hitting! Yourself!”) is super red.

It’s not trivial to trigger void though, especially not considering Hymn of the Faller is a sorcery.

I used Satyr Wayfinder as the character art for one of my D&D characters. The only time I ever used Magic the Gathering art like that. I think that says enough.

I do love Tannuk’s design. He’s pretty insane with fetches! And only an uncommon!

I don’t think his interaction with Mana Vault and Grim Monolith is fantastic either. I think it’s a really pushed planeswalker, actually, but it does weirdly scale to its environment. A bit like how Snapcaster Mage is honestly fine in a lower power environment, because its flashing back Cruel...

I haven't met a single player yet who thinks the new artifact border looks better than the old brown border. I have seen different opinions on all the other frame colors. I obviously know taste is subjective, but in the case of the artifact border, it seems pretty objective to me :D

I did start with the old border (1999), and the old gold border in particular makes me puke. Only thing that was objectively better was the brown artifact banner.
