    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Issue with a lot of indestructible creatures is color: Is your wildfire deck Boros? I usually see RG, and maybe RB wildfire decks being talked about. In green, thornling Predator ooze Which both have their issues. In artifact, a contender that synergizes with a more typical mana-rock-ramp...

    A deceptively bad cube

Both search directly for the Burning Vengeance while filling the GY. Depending on how much you want to push the vengeance deck, they work directly with the namesake and strategy. I could see at least Grapple with the Past as a potential flex slot

    A deceptively bad cube

if you want enchantments and self-mill to be going in the same deck, commune with the gods vessel of nascency might be good options. They insure that you can get the vengeance/stormbind etc. into your hand from the revealed cards. They don't solve the recurring it from the grave problem though.

so there's this thread from Grillo (it from a while back), that discusses a lifegian archetype: https://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/b-g-lifegain-lets-durdle.875/ I think the primary takeaway for me, if that some of the best lifegain payoffs aren't cards that directly interact with lifegain...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

That is the same thing that Wildfire is looking to do in a wildfire "aggro" deck. I think people get way too easily caught up on the word aggro, like it always means "sligh". It's a fast-game deck. Beat down deck. What will you. The wildfire should have the same effect of locking the game up.

    Wildfire madness deck.

I see it as an upgraded Hellbent/unleash combo that focuses simply on playing out your hand more aggressively than your opponent. I like it.

Tbh they already messed up their flavortexts…. From Prairie Stream: "the continent of Ondu is a vast plateau..." plateau They should have used sejiri as the UW land continent, and ondu for RW (if they make it zendikar themed)

Yeah I think those are basically the directions you take. I went for the former, with primary playoff in Skinrender and Fleshbag Marauder. Marauder is a cute loop to get excited over.

even so, there are three mouth shapes, and in battle there should be about two (because your mouth just made the previous L) https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/ Type "battleland" and "tangoland" into there, and the computer voice tries so hard to make tangoland sound nice it doesn't even...

    General Speculation-Thread

Battlelands might be three syllables, but the pronunciation emphasis is the key. "BA-ttle-Lands", and when you are speaking it fast, it can come out like Battle-ands, with the L flowing from battle into lands. That makes it pseudo-two-syllable. Can't do that with "tan-GO-Lands" I actually like...

Come now guys, it says right in the flavor text that they stop fliers because they are "cantankerous" I mean, don't y'all scare birds away by yelling at them and being generally pissed off? Must work for the wurms too.

I'd run the Excavator long before I ran Crucible of Worlds, tbh (even though I technically did have the crucible in first lol). But looking over your cube, I can see that the {G} section is taking a different direction than mine, so I don't fault the decision to just not run it at all. A...

gisa and geralf Pretty fun and interesting GY-themed slot, I've found. Dunno if it fits into a section with Hostage Taker though. Ancient Excavation is also a card I like to recommend for GY-centric Dimir things. Fact or Fiction casts a pall over it, though.

Yeah great summary from Kirb. One key point is "designed to be a ramp target". Another struggle with other ramp targets is they can generally be reanimated, while sandworm convergence has no consistent way to hit the field early in cube besides ramp. This makes it a great ramp finisher that the...

Do I Like Molten Vortex? I LOVE IT! So much I wrote an entire thread about an entire archetype based around it (and some other cards). http://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/start-your-engines-a-temur-card-advantage-deck.1276/ I need to point out that it has almost nothing to do with aggro, and...

I totally vouch for hostile desert. That card has been a big hit over here, and I'm only running 15x fetches. There are plenty of other opportunities to drop lands into the GY; it creates a neat little mini-game that actually has a great payoff with the 3/4 body.

And it can sac itself if need be, to get one last card off of it. I might try this over Abbot of Keral Keep tbh. That card hasn't been overly impactful here

Huh... Better Tome. This is much more tempting than tome for a middling-low cube power level... And my non UGB edh decks will love this!
