    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

It's a classic. The art is amazing on the reprint (IMO anyway). And random discard is extremely powerful, especially when landed early (for those still running dark ritual or similar). I think it's still cubeable honestly. Maybe not in a power max cube though.

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

In a heavy removal deck, Liliana's Reaver is very good. You only need to connect one time for it to be easily worth 2BB. You aren't just getting a zombie, you are forcing a discard too.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

About 20% of my cube is enchantments/artifacts - that number went up with all the enchantment creatures. What are the odds of you facing a deck that has no enchantments or artifacts in it? I'm thinking it's pretty low. Anything that can hit both of those card types is probably maindeckable in...

Yup. Prison term is amazing. I probably won't ever cut that one.

General Do you like Tangle Wire games?

I think it's a fun card actually. I'll vote yes.

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

I agree with that. I wish they had really pushed it and had it cantrip upon entering the battlefield. But maybe that would have made it too good. I don't know.

Too slow in faster cubes but pretty good in more midrangy meta's. What I like about it is that it gives your aggressive deck a CA engine for when things don't go as planned and the game lingers. It's vulnerable to removal and only conditionally awesome, but when it works it wins games.

    Card/Deck Imperial Recruiter

Assuming the $299 price tag on it doesn't automatically unsell you, it's a really powerful card. Think of all the things you can fetch with it. Karmic Guide Sower of Temptation Snapcaster Mage Phyrexian Metamorph Meloku the clouded Mirror Kiki-Jiki, Mirror breaker Braid Cabal Minion...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

I might move Lingering Souls more towards the easy stuff simply because you don't need both halves to be useful. This is especially true of Lingering Souls. 2 1/1 flyers for 3 mana is not all that bad, especially if you are running a token theme. If you have a Bx deck with mass discard, the...

That's well thought out actually. You are making me want to consider this. I'm not married to my white one drop section.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Someone on that other site that shall not be named has a storm/combo cube where he uses this card to great effect. He keeps teasing a storm primer (how to get it to work in cube without being poisonous), but said article has not yet appeared. Assuming he has a cool take on it, I might try it...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

It's a valid approach and I understand why you are doing that (GW is a problem for my group too - it is regularly under drafted). With that said, by putting Loam Lion in your white section you are in effect giving non-GW Wx decks fewer options. It effectively limits your choices when building...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

Fair enough. When you get down to the math, I see your point. With all the artifacts I've removed recently, I might be able to put my hybrids in the colorless section and have them compete with artifacts. Hmm.... tempting actually. The only thing I like about having them in mono colored...

General It could happen in any number of formats

Getting two for one'd with scepter sucks though. So does getting stuck with it in your hand and nothing to imprint on it. It's certainly fun though and I had a friend who auto drafted it when it was in my cube. So I've thought about adding it back in, especially know that I've culled some of...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

Slippery slope though. You end up running too many gold cards while hiding them in your mono-colored sections. It might look better on paper than running giant gold sections, but your draft is going to be hurt all the same. I'm only doing this with flashback cards since they aren't useless if...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

That seems like a stretch. Then again, I did have a separate hybrid section at one point so pretty much the same thing I guess. I didn't like that though because it got unbalanced and I didn't really know where to draw the line since hybrids weren't competing with anything directly. It got...

General What cards are you testing from M15?

It's very vulnerable to counter spells. Reminds me of Harrow or Mycoloth - high risk / reward type of a card. This card needs a 4 power creature to really be worth it I think (since it costs you two "cards" for the effect). But you have a huge ceiling here (imagine sacing Blistering...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

That's what I'm saying though. Because you can play it in either G or U decks, it's even more attractive (which is why IMO they should not be in the guild section but in one of the mono colored sections competing with those cards). If you treat it like a multi-colored card, it has to compete...

    Card/Deck Vanilla creatures

It's gold though, and we have so precious few slots for those cards. There are a ton of multicolored cards that would be auto includes if mono colored. Including this dude. 4/4 uncounterable for 3 mana? That's pretty good (even if it's a little boring). Look at how many hybrids suddenly...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I can see that. The mana cost might be the deal breaking piece. If it was free, this card would be very powerful. If your deck is built to win via card quality, this effect is ideal. It also doubles as an enabler for reanimator and you can occasionally deny your opponent things they need...
