    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Hm, maybe you guys are right. I wish it's ability were 1 or 2 mana cheaper. On a related note, is there a better option for a Dimir artifact payoff, that would fit my planeswalkerfree, peasant-ish power leveled meta?

Depends on your 4-drop targets I'd say, and on the speed of your meta. If it has enough impact the turn it lands, Closet could be fine as a tempo curvetop

But I would expect it to be more like a 5-mana 7/7 on average, based on my experience how the artifact deck plays in my cube. And it has nice synergies with some other role players Marionette Master Treasure Map Trading Post And I could imagine, wildfire likes it too

Oh, I got one myself. Could this one be a great payoff for an artifact midrange deck in a low powered Dimir section? Deadeye Plunderers They should never be smaller than 5/5 in that deck and the activated ability is pushing all the other cards that also care about artifacts.

One with nature seems not bad though. But I think Keen Sense and/or Sixth Sense could just be better most of the time, because they can draw you business cards and require far lass shuffeling.

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

If my 2-drop eats a removal spell, I'd be pretty okay with it most of the time. The same could happen to young pyro or baby jace, so that's not what makes a spells matter 2-drop bad I guess. To be fair, quite a few of my payoffs would be a little weaker in your list, or not? I'd say yours is...

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

Depends on how much weihght your payoffs can carry I would say. In my meta, a big Rise from the Tides or a Talrand or Charmbreaker Devils, if they survive a few turns, can usually win a game on their own (with spells obviously). Just from my mind, I would say I'd like to have around 13-16...

Don't forget white/blue skies! Picking all the fliers and calling it a deck might be the oldest draft archetype in mtg history :D

What are you're thought on spells matter future sight? Precognition Field Looks like it would be able to generate lots of CA in any deck with 13+ instants/sorceries. Also exiling top deck lands or unneeded stuff in the late game is not bad either.

From all the colors, {W} is the one I like to play the least. But when, blink is my favorite white archetype, because it feels so tricky. I support it in {W}{U} with enablers and targets. {B} is like a tertiary color, although black abuses EtB-triggers in a "sac and recur"-manner, it works very...

Has anyone tested this ghostly snek? Have you been happy with that ghostly snek? Cryptic Serpent PS. I know it's not a ghost and not a snake

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

What would you guys say, how many payoffs does a cube of a certain size need to have Spells matter be a clear, draftable archetype?

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

Okay, you guys convinced me. I'm probably testing out the wall now. Additionally, I even want to add, that the splashability of the wall is not irrelevant. In my meta, there are often decks like {B}{G}{U} dredge, where {U} could sometimes end up to be not more than a light splash. The wall...

I would not.kind him getting back my Wash Out or Windfall in such a deck, but that's not the main approach here I'd say. Let's discuss these spell diggers in the light of a controlish version of the spells matter deck. Even in this deck I think I would prefer merfolk over wall because the fish...

But isn't Salvager of Secrets just better than the wall? I mean, even in a control deck I would image that trading with some X/2 is better value than just keeping a 3/X in check for a few turns. And in tempo decks for example, having that relevant body on the board to attack after you got your...

I like spells matter a lot. I shifted from tempo to a more control oriented deck lately and I'm happy about that. Delver/Kiln Fiend is just more of a narrow deck imo. Here are the pay-off cardsI'm running currently. Really happy with them: Thermo-AlchemistJhessian ThiefGelectrodeTalrand, Sky...
