If you are behind then it is not a good card due to its conditionality. If you are ahead then yes tidings is great. It is quite versatile, which is nice. The only way to know for sure is to try it out.

How many cheap cards do you have in hand on turn 5/6? Likely not many. Hoe many cheap cards do you draw with 2 additional cards? Likely not many. It is highly variable and likely nowhere close to 3x2. More likely just 2 damage. Is that enough?

Thing is, it costs 5, that’s why it is likely bad. With the embrace the cost is 3, which could allow you to play an additional spel this turn. Furthermore the embrace can be used much earlier to make land drops and so on.
