Just wanted to call back, this gem has been suuuper good for us in just 3 tests. So easy to get a 2 for 1 out of it, and there are nice tricks with first strike on deathtouch or lifelink. It's soo gonna stay.

This is actually the first card I could actually see myself freeing a slot for. I mean, it is not even limited to once a turn, so it could be good right? I mean in a ramp deck, you could threaten tons of trample damage, and in an aggro deck, would he be that much worse than, let's say, a Jungle...

My pal has her in his cube with great succes, as shes pretty strong on her own. His themes are just GW Enchantments and GU Proliferate though.

I have two questions regarding this crazy card: Gift of Doom 1) Do you think it is good? (I support sacrifice and morphs/combat tricks are relevant) 2) Would you count it as black or colorless?

Damn power creep has never been realer than in Ikoria. A splashable 3/3 for 3 with a huuuge upside? I'd cube it maybe as a 3/1 or at 1WW.

I'm a bit sad how many cards already got strictly outclassed in this spoiler season: Naturalize Break Asunder Scrap Shatter Explosive Vegetation Coastal Piracy And while those are all spells, the creatures shout "power creep" even louder at me.

So when the creature I want to mutate on dies, you get mutate creature still. How does this work with sacrificing in response,since a lot of those seem to be cheaper as mutate than hardcast?

Thinking a bit about this, I'm not really a fan though. It took me, a player of 15 years, quite a moment to wrap my head around it, how am I ten supposed to teach this ability to newbies? Looks as confusing as banding pretty much. I like cycling and keyword counters, but I don't think the rest...

Yeah, all mutate cards at all rarities will get a comic style version. Maybe that mechanic will bring something for my cube.

Oh yeah, and Hypnotic Sprite also works well. And the funny thing is: I added ninjas only after I already fell in love with the adventure guys.

I'm running these 5 and they kinda already became staples of my cube. Giant Killer Hypnotic Sprite Order of Midnight Embereth Shieldbreaker Beanstalk Giant I'd add more (Foulmire Knight, Shepherd of the Flock etc) before cutting any. This mechanic was a homerun.
