Hardened Scales? Is that you!? In all seriousness, I don't think this card is all that great (too much mana!), but I think this ability is nice to have redundant copies of for counters decks. If I still had my peasant Cube, I would definitely be putting this one right in.

Smugglers Copter is not really all that broken outside of the "new cards" formats.

I think they're doing "a battle in every pack" for this set, so they needed to reduce the rarity on some of them.

Not a lot; trains that have computers tend to use more modern hardware. I don't think I've ever heard of floppy disks on a locomotive before. Stuff that still uses floppies are like old pieces of lab equipment and nuclear weapons.

CDs are a dying breed. On a related note, there is a global Floppy Disk shortage right now because there are still plenty of functioning devices that use Floppy Disks to store information, but Floppy Disks haven't been produced since 2011.

I saw it. Somehow there is less relevant information than in the MaRo preview game. Not to say the video was bad, the art at the end was especially cool.

I've always liked to say, "there are three elements you can choose to add to a planeswalker design: You can make it Playable, you can make it Innovative, and you can make it Balanced. As a designer, you can choose no more than two." I think they picked "Playable" and "Balanced" for this one.

For what it's worth, I loved the Hobbit when I read it, and I really enjoyed the Fellowship of the Ring. I think I just got busy when I was trying to read the Two Towers, and just sort of dropped it when I got to a slow part of the book. Maybe I should just get the Audiobook, so I can listen...

Man, I got bored reading halfway through The Two Towers back in like 2014 and never read the rest of the series. I told myself I wasn't going to watch the Jackson films until I finished the books, so I still haven't seen them to this day despite their high quality.

It's really good graveyard support for a green three-drop. Imagine following some sort of Goyf with this and double downticking. You get a supercharged dude, plus you have perfect mana for the two turns it's out in this scenario. That's not even Wrenn's ceiling, and it's still pretty damn good...

I think Wrenn and Realmbreaker is probably great, but I am not ready to say how great just yet. I need to play with the card first.

I think this is how they handle effects like that in sets without keyword counters. Kenku Artificer comes to mind as an example of this being done in the past.

This card is actually capable of attacking on a regular basis. I think that's what saves it as far as feel is concerned.
