    General Color Pair Draft Archetypes

@Japahn: How do you support Wildfire.dec in green besides the 4 or 5 good "enrage" cards? I also run Devastation as a wildfire variant, making them worse, sadly. To Simic: Okay, that snake saboteur tribal is incredibly cool. I'm not a huge fan of {G/U}-Saboteurs, but that is neat. I also...

    General Color Pair Draft Archetypes

I was never a huge fan of the coor pair draft archetype way of building a cube, because I always felt, it would easily lead to railway drafting and too clearly defined archetypes and therefore to too similar decks. But I have to admit, that I was wrong, partly at least. I support around 12...

This decision, I can get behinde. Carrion Feeder is the better 1-mana sac outlet anyway ;)

    General Fight Club

I'm pretty sure that's not the reason. Counterspell and Boomerang are in the Cube basically since day 1 and they see play, although Boomerang could be played a little more often too. Also, fixing just got better with the inclusion of shocklands.

Good, I had a similar intention. Withdraw just hasn't seen zero play so far in the 7 or 8 drafts since it was added to the Cube. Maybe just bad luck. Even the basic Unsummon gets maindecked regularly.

I would not recommend cutting Stinky from a Graveyard Cube though :p

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

It seems pretty good to me, honestly. I learned magic with Horned Turtle and Vedalken Entrancer, so I know the value of a 1/4 body. My only concern with the Kingpin is, that it feels so unexiting. Like, for a 2-mana 1/4 scrying 1 almost every turn, is a pretty good upside. But for a multicolored...

I'm a fan of Necroplasm, recommend testing it. It resets aggressive starts and is even better at daeling with tokens. Also, it helps dredge out if that is a deck you're supporting. Really cool and tricky card. Adds a lot of decision making not only with it's recursion ability. Oh, and if you...

General Flickery (Not Featuring J. Scott)

But Crystal Shard is modern legal ;) I increased the number by just adding etb creatures, that also happen to fill roles in other decks. For example, I added Captain of the Watch for another expensive token producer I can't even remember right now.

The upside of Shard/Portal is, that they're much less narrow, cause they can bounce opposing creatures and also save your creatures from dying in response to combat or removal. Closet is only good, when you really support the archetype with many targets.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Rona is pretty cool I guess. And Sphinx Summoner could be good value with a few strong targets. No, it is my casual cube, but the 450 version is old, this 500 cards version comes with an artifact theme in {W}{U}{B}{R} and multiple colorless support/pay off cards...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Hm, maybe you guys are right. I wish it's ability were 1 or 2 mana cheaper. On a related note, is there a better option for a Dimir artifact payoff, that would fit my planeswalkerfree, peasant-ish power leveled meta?

General Flickery (Not Featuring J. Scott)

Depends on your 4-drop targets I'd say, and on the speed of your meta. If it has enough impact the turn it lands, Closet could be fine as a tempo curvetop

But I would expect it to be more like a 5-mana 7/7 on average, based on my experience how the artifact deck plays in my cube. And it has nice synergies with some other role players Marionette Master Treasure Map Trading Post And I could imagine, wildfire likes it too

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Oh, I got one myself. Could this one be a great payoff for an artifact midrange deck in a low powered Dimir section? Deadeye Plunderers They should never be smaller than 5/5 in that deck and the activated ability is pushing all the other cards that also care about artifacts.

One with nature seems not bad though. But I think Keen Sense and/or Sixth Sense could just be better most of the time, because they can draw you business cards and require far lass shuffeling.

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

If my 2-drop eats a removal spell, I'd be pretty okay with it most of the time. The same could happen to young pyro or baby jace, so that's not what makes a spells matter 2-drop bad I guess. To be fair, quite a few of my payoffs would be a little weaker in your list, or not? I'd say yours is...

General Spells Matter: Astonished With a Freedom

Depends on how much weihght your payoffs can carry I would say. In my meta, a big Rise from the Tides or a Talrand or Charmbreaker Devils, if they survive a few turns, can usually win a game on their own (with spells obviously). Just from my mind, I would say I'd like to have around 13-16...
