    Card/Deck The Golgari Swarm (BG)

Spider Spawning IS a good card for sure, I loved this archetype in triple Innistrad. But I think it can be hard to get enough value out of it to be worth the trouble in cube. Scarab helps filling the yard, works as apayoff-ish card too in dredge deck, because you can get it into the 'yard and...

    Card/Deck The Golgari Swarm (BG)

I'm already running Grapple and the Wayfinder as well as Hermit Druid and Splinterfright. I'm probably fine without Grisly Salvage or another mono green variant though. Troll helps filling the graveyard too in some way, especially if you have a dredge guy to discard. On the topic of...

Jup, Mentor is an easy pick, as much as nostalgia I have for Drover. I love to firstpick Mentor and go into either Wx Tokens or Wx Blink mostly, but the card's pretty flexible and good but fine in lower powered cube most of the time. Archangel is the stronger 4-drop, I'm pretty sure. It is...

    Card/Deck The Golgari Swarm (BG)

I'm probably replacing Putrid Leech with Lotleth Troll. And in case that thing turns out too good, I'm considering this one too as a Dredge enabler/singnal: Grisly Salvage This card seems pretty good to me

    Card/Deck The Golgari Swarm (BG)

I almost did this change before. But then I was worried, that a 2-drop that can become like a 4/3 trampler with "{B}: Regenerate" could be a little too oppressive on many boards. But maybe I am undervaluing the (creature-)cards you have to pitch to make this actually better than something like...

    Card/Deck The Golgari Swarm (BG)

Golgari is a guild where I could find dozens of cards. I love graveyard themed decks and strategies, and the huge, resilent beaters green and black offer. What are you running in your Golgari sections? What themes/archetypes do you support? Did you have some surprising successes? What do you...

General Rivals of Ixalan (RIX) Spoilers

There was an answer video to his second T-Rex video from a fellow paleo nerd. I can't find it anymore though. There that other guys explains, that T-Rex was probably scaly, and that Trey's second video on the skin impressions was pretty biased and partly wrong. Trey had the top comment under...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Looking at your list, you are pretty much already running all the top tier versions after Goblin Guide. A few that would be good fits too: Goblin Glory Chaser Village Messenger Monastery Swiftspear Tattermunge Maniac Also, if your aggro decks tend to be 17+ creatures, these guys are...

I love Trey, the Explorer, but he has stated that he has been wrong on the topic on new skin impressions. I will look up the video tomorrow.

I handle it like this as well, I don't like free spells in my meta. My only exception is Devouring Light, but I could see me replacing that if it feels wrong at one point. But I can't remember seeing it cast for free while the player was tapped out.

General Rivals of Ixalan (RIX) Spoilers

Actually, new founds make it highly debateable, that T-Rex was that fuzzy. He probably only had small amounts of primitive feathers and/or had them only during a certain life Periode, like a young bird today looks different as a new born. I love feathered dinos, but a T-Rex that fluffy is...

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

Have you tested it in cube context? I was tempted to try it, but it just seemed a little too expensive. I would've loved to play it, mayba with a 1B cost, or as a 1/1 with a B cost. Also black is my tightest color.

I don't know if they are adequat for your power level, but if you want a creature to sacrifice try these guys: Reassembling Skeleton Tenacious Dead With sac outlet synergies they are really powerful and the Bx Sacrifice decks are plenty of fun.

    Card/Deck The Orzhov Syndicate (WB)

I 100% agree with this statement. My post wasn't against Aston or any one in particular. However I know (from mtgs), that some people build a cube around their 2 color pairs and give each of them a focused archetype. Izzet is spells matter, golgari does selfmill, selesnya gets human tribal and...

    Card/Deck The Orzhov Syndicate (WB)

To me that sounds like a good reason to not give guild sections a single, focused identity. My Orzhov decks can range from sligh-aggro to super slow control. They can be tokens+sacrifice outlets, abise the graveyard or blink effects. I rather have a good mix of interesting effects in my guild...

    Card/Deck The Orzhov Syndicate (WB)

Interesting point. I try to eliminate those kind of cards where I can, because I feel it is like unbalancing the cubes color distribution. But I also think, that from all the cards listed here, only Guttersnipe really fits the bill. Maybe Resurrection too, but the other, I am happy to play in...

    General Fight Club

I have to admit, I'm probably too harsh on Censor, considering my love for Force Spike. I mean, it has some advantages, like you can counter a mana elf or a strong 2-drop, depending on being on the draw or the play. And leaving up only a single mana is so much less hurtful in the early turn. I...

    Card/Deck The Orzhov Syndicate (WB)

To the guys running Debtor's Knell: In which decks other than blackbased graveyard themed decks does it see play? Is it even played in decks without black? I have high hoes on this thing!

    Card/Deck Morph

Not really, depends on the speed of your cubes. Actually, some of them like Dragonslayer or Bane are pretty great against aggro. It is not really a theme in that sense, that I'm playing any weird payoff cards, and it isn't an archetype certainly too. They just get a little better and much more...
