Okay, you've proven me wrong, this is clearly an aggro deck. But with few 1-drops which aren't even exactly aggro except the mage maybe and 6 aggressive 2-drops it just looks not really consistent to me. Maybe the quality of some individual cards makes up for this, but this is not the way I...

    General Mana Sinks

Another allstar from my cube that hasn't been mentioned here is this one: Ant Queen That thing is a walking pest problem. I like cards like that in green, because they get better the more mana you have, but you don't need to be the big mana deck to play them. When they also produce tokens...

    General The Draft Exchange

Draftinf Peter's ... I firstpicked a Lilly of the Veil. After that I got some good UB control cards and then a Isochron Scepter. With it I went for more cheap spells and ways to make extra use of them and I wound up with this sweet blue/black control list splashing red with it's great mana...

    General Mana Sinks

That's not entirely true. Yes it's bad when you are about to lose. But when you are already winning, you often can do better turn then producing a few 1/1's EoT. It is best in games, that are open. But there are like a 100 ways to beat it beyond countermagic and duress even. You can race the...

I think we just can't agree completly, but that's okay, different opinions make for better discussions. I want to give you 3 points to make my stance clear though. 1.) In my opinion, Savannah Lions is a fun card. Aggro doesn't need 23 super exciting, flashy cards, because the strategy itself...

    General Mana Sinks

To be fair, it is far from problematic in a lower powered cube. Most peasant cubes have cut it for not being good enough. And the way this card plays out is pure beauty, like a flower breaking through the ground, a small and slow but inevitable force of nature <3

Krasis gives you guaranteed value and can sometimes be a 2 or even 3 for one. But Lorescale is a must kill creature and it gets really strong with looters and such. Do you prefer GU Tempo or a something like a flash deck, go with krasis imo You prefer midrange and value lists, go with Lorescale...

Either your games play out very differently than mine, in cube and retail limited, or you guys just dislike aggressive decks. Mistral Charger saw play even in powered cubes not long ago. In my lower powered list I'm still running it (as well as Wings of the Guard), and blue getting slightly...

I have a question realted to my cube too. How would you rank those 2-drops? Welkin Tern Gossamer Phantasm Mindshrieker

Glare was soo busted in Ravnica Limited. How does it perform in cube? How much weaker than Opposition is it?

    Card/Deck The Gruul Clans (RG)

Burning-Tree Emmissary is a really good card. Would you really consider it a true hybrid (playable in either color) or actually more a gold card? Atarka's Command sounds good too, I'd imagine damage+pump ends a lot of games. But if I would include it, my cut would probably be Ghor-Clan...

    Card/Deck The Gruul Clans (RG)

Gruul offers a lot to do in cube I think. When you support green aggro, Gruul becomes a great aggro pairing. When you support big red and Fireball effects, Gruul becomes a good ramp pairing. You can also do things like wildfire.dec and token strategies. But how do you capture this flexibility in...

Okay, because it is fun I will post an example deck too. Here is actually a pretty good example why I love green as an aggro color in my list. Yes, it doesn't contribute as much as red does, but I would not like to miss these green cards here. It delivers combat tricks, which are great in aggro...

    General Fight Club

The way you are portraing this, you seem just as biased as I am. And yes, I want green to do all this, I want every color to do as many things as I can support. Nothing sounds more boring to me to have every green deck to be ramp/midrange. So, no, you guys wont convince me to cut green aggro...

Green aggro doesn't mean you can't play dorks and support a strong ramp theme in green though. I get that it's not everyone's favorite, but if you get to make it playable, it doesn't hurt anything in your cube. It actually makes some cards more playable, for example Mongrel/Constrictor would...

    General Fight Club

Rootwalla is probably not good, okay, but I simply can't agree with green aggro being bad. Green shouldn't make a huge majority of your aggro deck, but it has great cards to offer if you pair it with red, white or even black. In my cube, greens 1-drops are just as good if not better than the...

    General Fight Club

At first, thanks for all the input guys! I think I will order a copy of the not exactly expensive Rootwalla the next time and give it a test run. Maybe it will surprise me. My hope was to have it as a pseudo-evasive 1-drop first and then pump it for the later attacks. In case I don't have Wild...

    General Fight Club

Yeah, Emeria Angel is sweet. She's playable everywhere and supports tokens and skies decks really well. As long as she fits your power level, I would recommend her for sure. Prowler is a little too much for what I want my aggro 1-drops to do. I also would have to cut Jungle Lion and Wild Dogs...

Black and green are my secondary aggro colors, both come with 6 One-Drops, that are playable in such a deck. In Green I'm running Jungle Lion, Wild Dogs, Young Wolf, Scythe Leopard, Wolfbitten Captive and currently this guy: Pouncing Jaguar But I'm not super happy with him, as he is best...

Even with such a minor spirit theme, I feel like both, Screech and Devotion are better cards than Midnight Haunting on a pure power level ... level. That card was pretty weak when I tested it. This would certainly change with heavier tribal support though.
