Site News ChannelFireball Store Credit Contest Details

Post them all at once Jason. It gives a big advantage to those who have been up longer, since they get more traffic time, which won't affect votes till the very end, but it will give them the most time to be discussed. I can't start working on my article till friday :( Ah well, I think the...

    General CBS

Eh, not so much. Phasing works that they get it back on their turn, so even if the enchantment phased out every damn permanent they own it still isn't actually killing anything (Other than tokens) It doesn't seem that great since if you don't want their biggest guys blocking, you need to have...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Alright, I can head up the "Tearing People's Dreams Down" committee :D Also I wanna go on record here: I think one of the major problems with Ali/Justin's custom cube is they departed too far from what we know as magic. Last I checked there was a :g: 3/1 with no drawback, and if that card is a...

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

The "unless 1" counters are less reliable here, since the curves are less tight and the games are longer due to the increased cube size. You see a lot more turn 3 2 drops and turn 4 3 drops then you might in your cube jason :p Still good, but I want something a little more universal

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

Well, probably not. Counterspell isn't going anywhere, and I'm not counting remand/memory lapse for this experiment since they don't actually deal with a threat, just delay it; it more like a bounce spell than a counterspell. It's also possible my cubetutor is out of date, I'll try and fix...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Don't look at me man, I hate set design :P I've been trying for as long as I've been creating cards to zero in on exactly what makes a balanced card, and when we can deviate from that, since it's a skill a LOT of card designers lack. That narrow focus really doesn't translate well to the macro

Then you get my cube :P

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

You know we are also focusing the section in addition to adding the tempo blue thing, right? Those cuts for Consecrated Sphinx weren't for nothing you know :P Also, having taken a good look at those changes, why is the roman leaving? He's sweet, and in this deck too! Glad your cutting scute...

    Card/Deck Making Delver Work

I think my current plan is 3 power fliers which can block (Sorry Rishadan Airship), 2 cost walls which don't suck at attacking (Frostburn Weird, Aquamoeba) and Cloudfin Raptors. I'm pulling the rest together at the moment, but I might be able to make a full primer out of this. Someone oughta...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Eh, even if we could I'm not sure I'd want to. Coming up with entire sets is hard, ESPECIALLY entire cube sets. (No unplayables) Making archetypes feel wholly new is insanely hard, and balancing cards against each other just makes my head spin.

The Dandy Cube (Chris Taylor's Cube)

So I've decied I want a few more counters in prep for the tempo patch I'm working on, since at the moment I only have mana leak and miscalculation. Can anyone give me a compelling argument for or against any of these? Probably Bad: Arcane Denial Spell Rupture Spell Syphon Unified Will...

    Man, early magic sucked :P

    Card/Deck Making Delver Work

Goblins of the Flarg was played because he got pumped by your king, and enabled goblin grenade, nothing else. HE WAS ALL THEY HAD MAN Cursecatcher is played in legacy because sometimes you lose if you don't have force spike, and he gets pumped by your million kings. Stormkirk Noble and Champion...

Cards: Snapdragon :1::u: Flying :u::~ gets +1/-1 until end of turn 1/3 Order of Fate :1::w: First Strike Players search libraries at random (If a player would search for a mountain, shuffle the library and reveal cards from the top until they reveal a mountain) 2/1 I think it works guys :D

    Card/Deck Black 2 drops

He is unblockable though, so I think I'll try him out. Skeleton: Another card I wish had 2 power. More things need the piker treatment :P

    Card/Deck Squee, Goblin Nabob

Assuming I have time I might write one about multi-looter

    Card/Deck Making Delver Work

Does [real format] have 1 drop attackers though? Draft: Mostly unplayable. Mostly they're utilitity creatures, blockers, or undesireable cards (Sanctuary Cat) Most constructed formats are like cube but more stringent. The exception that comes to mind is doomed traveller, but he's got 2 lives and...

    Card/Deck Squee, Goblin Nabob

Maybe it's my love of looters but I find he interacts solid-mediocre with about 20% of my cube, so he keeps in.

    Card/Deck Making Delver Work

It's really sad that 1 power creatures need to be insanely utility...y to merit a spot. Like, I'm looking at my list right now and it's like: Mother of Runes Flying men + scry 1 on attack Spikeshot Elder Random copies of Llanowar Elves and Ulvenwald Tracker, who I'm not too pleased with. Cards...

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Herd is good #IgnoreCML regrowth is good when you're regrowing things that aren't in jason's cube. Mentor can go, he's a little slow. He is sweet though, but room is tight. Wheel: Eh, sell me on this. I've never found the card to be good unless your on the mono burn plan, and even then it gives...
