Tribute to hunger seems AWEFUL in this format. Contamination is really powerful, but maybe not the right kind of powerful. It does shut your opponent down, which might be really easy to keep up with all the tokens flying around. My pick: Stab Wound

Yeah the draft gets better the more you use it. I'm actually having a problem with mine at the moment because I did so many drafts looking for content for the wildfire article, that now it's impossible to wheel artifact mana or wildfire! Probably not indicative of your average draft environmental :P

Funny you mention it, I have actually recently cut jackel pup and swapped him out for another tattermunge maniac instead of rakdos cackler :P (Black already has A LOT of 1 drops, and while my cube didn't quite know what to do with black, the side benefit from cackler being black was marginal...

I like him. He's fine in control churning out dudes and padding your life total, and he's defensible in aggro making emblems and keeping you resiliant. I haven't found him opressive, just solid.

I find vivids annoying because of counter upkeep. It's less annoying when the card isn't tucked in with your lands (Sphere of the suns), but on lands it gets worse. WotC needs to make brass cave already :P (My evolving wilds => pains you, fetches untapped) You could try more city of brasses if...
