General Which Shard/Wedge/Guild name is least intuitive to you

From the comments below my linked article: "Lam Phan created the deck, while David Caplan popularized it. Both of them were Canadian." :D

General Which Shard/Wedge/Guild name is least intuitive to you

I assume it's because of Canadian Threshold.

General Weekly Fun Q: How is Onderzeeboot doing?

I don't want to jinx it, but it looks like I'm one of the lucky ones. The dizziness is all but gone, and I'm working from the office again after managing an entire workday from home yesterday without any difficulties. So yay for a speedy recovery! :) Thanks for all the sweet well-wishes everyone!

General Weekly Fun Q: How is Onderzeeboot doing?

Update: getting better! I'm still a bit tired from yesterday, but the dizziness has almost disappeared! :)

General Weekly Fun Q: How is Onderzeeboot doing?

On the plus side, I was planning on drafting my cube again this month. That is, if the BPPV subsides within the next two weeks. I was hoping to test some cards this week, but I really don't feel like sitting behind a laptop right now. Hopefully diligently repeating the Epley maneuver thrice a...

General Weekly Fun Q: How is Onderzeeboot doing?

Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but today hasn't been fantastic. Last night was rough, with spells of dizziness, and this morning my darling wife (who's a family doctor) diagnosed me with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). If you ask me, that 'benign' is a bit of a euphemism.

General [Custom Card Contest] A history worth repeating (ends June 21)

I got inspired by a Julie Dillon piece. This saga represents four generations of women and the four different points in time they represent: past, present, immediate future, and distant future. For play experience, it might be better to reverse the order, but I liked the flavor better this way :)

    General Misplay of the month

It helps if you use [ c ] tags around your cards. Cemetery Puka isn't exactly a well-known card ;) Also, you should try not playing Magic. I made zero misplays this month! :P

Bumping because I've got an idea and I don't want to forget to refine it :D

woah blacksmithy, way too much granularity on the removal spells for my taste :) the distinction between mass removal and pinpoint removal, and maybe noncreature removal, is enough as far as tags go, imho. buildaround card advantage card filtering tutor ramp recursion hand disruption pump tokens

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

Well, that's what my addendum ("Note that the original release date was April 1st, whereas the earnings call talks about a March MAGIC release, so a move to September might still mean an early October release.") was for. Sorry if that wasn't clear :)

Which English is very good at, I might add. English is also very good at the reverse, by the way; making two words that look alike sound completely different. I like to reread The Chaos every once in a while.

General Onderzeeboot, how are you doing?

Hey! Thanks for asking! I'm doing pretty fine. Time spent on Magic is a bit low atm, I'm choosing to spend more time on my family, D&D, and gaming lately, but I've got a cube draft coming up later this month. My first one in over half a year! Pretty stoked, though I suffered a bit form analysis...
