I tested Riddleform in my cube, and it was okay, but not exciting. I imagine it would have been better in a WU control shell with wraths if that color combination was supported in my cube. But yeah, on average it's a 1.5-power flyer for 2 mana, which is just worse than Welkin Tern.

Well, Thoughtseize or Ravenous Rats (or whatever is appropriate at your power level) don't need synergy, they're just a good fit for most black decks regardless of synergy. You can choose any counter when you sac an artifact, you don't have to actually have a permanent out with that type of counter on it

Now that you mention it, Flamespeaker might unironically be a lot better in my current cube than it was in the one I tried it in. Not only have I lowered my power level a bit since then, but I also properly support the Feather deck in my current cube! Maybe I do need to retest this?

I spot a Squall Drifter in that deck. That's a snow creature. I think snow is a pretty advanced mechanic, as it's sort of a mana supertype as well. If someone asks you "what does it mean that this is a snow creature instead of a normal creature?" and you have to answer "nothing, just ignore it"...

Interesting, but I probably want to make sure it can't (easily) trigger more than once in a single turn. Also, considering the curve and my current roster if BW cards, the only way I would want to add this as a 4 drop, is if I replace Seraph of the Scales with a custom BW angel with afterlife...

How would you colorshift/redesign Captain Sisay to a {1}{w}{b} legendary human? Would you keep it a tap ability, would you change it to an attack trigger, and add some keywords?
