Embodiment of Insight has the best base body. If a 4/4 vigilance for five mana is good in your cube, you could consider it, but all three of those are a bit lackluster.

If you're doing nothing else, that's a smaller Progenitus on turn 4. A 2/1 for {G} alone is nice, edging Magic ever closer to a viable green aggro deck, and this has a decent upside. However, apart from proliferate shenanigans, is this better than... Kessig Prowler Sinuous Predator ?

Only for certain cubes. There are actually cubes with only a light multicolor theme, good fixing, and a devotion subtheme in black. This will be a great fit in those cubes! The card is so not for my cube though :')

Personally, I think Spear of Heliod has more synergies if you want to run that effect, since it's also an artifact, plus it has additional utility in a more controlling deck because of its activated ability.
