    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

I don't think finding Commander to be a bad format is just a matter of taste. Magic is not well-suited to multiplayer and does not lend itself well to politics. Negotiation is one of my favourite game genres and I can't see a reason to play multiplayer Magic over Cosmic Encounter or Intrigue. In...

General Cards you regret adding to your cube

Not all cards we add to our cubes work as well as we think they will. Sometimes they are too powerful or too centralizing while others, they simply don't work in an actual deck. Which cards have you regretted adding to your cube than you thought would be great but simply weren't?

    General "Looking for a card"-Thread

I'm looking for UW cards, specially those that are control oriented. I have Supreme Veridict, Sphinx's Revelation but I'm not sure about what more could be interesting. Deputy of Retention seems fun, but he also seems much weaker and he's far from a card that would push me into UW.

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

So I'm, back! I've been too busy and too much into L5R to work on my cube. Still, I've drafted it on the simulator quite a bit and realized a few things. 1) I had some "cool cards" which simply didn't work well, like Aluren, Phyrexian Altar or Intruder Alarm. I removed or replaced some of...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

BACKGROUND I no longer play Magic. I used to, back when Extended existed as a format and Ravnica was just one block instead of three. I was attracted to the creativity of the game, the nifty interactions and the deckbuilding. I spent days building decks for formats I didn't even play and...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Thanks for the warm welcome inscho :) Something I appreciate about this forum is that people think very throughly about all the different factors. And not just archetypes, but how removal, power and different metagame forces impact the game. I understand what you mean about fatigue and being...

    Inscho's Graveyard Combo Cube

Wow I love your cube, inscho! It really is a source of inspiration, specially since we seem to like so many of the same things. Like you, I liked Extended and have a fondness for its style of play. I also like how you have integrated so many ideas, archetypes and how you have managed to include...
