pretty much just the latter. in Timeless, the arena vintage-lite format where all your cards are fetchable islands it's still mostly useful on turn one. it's really really strong but there are so many games where it's just a Wastes and those are the games where you might want to tutor for...

moreover though is the lower powered cube's dynamic going to be altered by taking away hidden information? if we're playing around stuff and there's some uncertainty involved Probe is going to be pretty good

as this forum's historical biggest booster of the initiative i would suggest that it's not worth doing unless you're playing vintage cube with a focus on combo. they invalidate any degree of combat that isn't fish.dec warp+blink smokebraider etc+elementals Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant
