    General Fetchland Density

Fetchlands are the coolest thing to ever happen to my cube. They fix like nobody's business and have so many wonderful interaction. Lately I've been flirting with the idea of running more. Probably 22 or 24 out of 360. The extra slots would be poly slots, but it doesn't really matter since...

General How do YOU plan to use the various Conspiracy cards?

These decks still exist in my cube but aren't exactly in need of any help. I think most of the designers with Gravecrawlers in service are in the process of toning the archetype down a bit.

    General My June 1st Draft.

I made a few mistakes in drafting, but overall I think it was pretty solid. Some of the weird Temporal Mastery related picks were intentionally experimental. I'll have a full article on this draft in the coming weeks. Pack 1

    General Color matters / devotion

I know, but generally the randomness isn't the element that "makes" the game, and I'm sure the ones that have it could easily be functionally implemented sans random elements.

    General Color matters / devotion

There are good dexterity-based games that aren't really based on luck. Street Fighter games don't really have luck. I feel like you're just spouting CML.

    Card/Deck Building/drafting around Tarmogoyf

The main problem is that no other cards care about the same things that Tarmogoyf cares about. And it's good enough on its own (provided you run a low curve, lots of removal and fetches) that you don't even need to draft around it. I mean, I like your ideas, don't get me wrong.

Sets Return to Ravnica Block Retrospective

I think part of the problem is that the block feels weak because Dragon's Maze delivered almost nothing. The cards that we did get all came out early in the block.

Sets Return to Ravnica Block Retrospective

I would have to look, but I almost feel like RTR (the set) provided more on its own than the entire Ravnica block (maybe that's BS, but RTR felt stacked). Except for Gravecrawler, which has been the single most impactful card to ever hit my cube. Rav block cards I'm running (in at least...

General Absurd idea: Integrated 1v1 Drafting and Playing

I'm all for a "pay life to shuffle" mechanic, or something thereof.

    General Multi-Picks

How is multi-Delver working for you, and how many are you running? I feel like two is maybe a good number in a 3.5 Brainstorm cube...

    General "Draw a card."

Well, the curve of, I'll say, all of our cubes is much lower than a retail environment. You can't really tone down the one drops without pushing towards higher CMC Magic, which approaches dragon territory. It's well possible our cubes have too few big butts. But... fuck board stalls.

    General "Draw a card."

This feels like a lot of work that might yield very little understanding. But maybe it would. I dunno, I feel like I should read some more mothership articles on limited design, they often have good points that are portable to cube land.

    General Multi-Picks

Oh man, you've never heard somebody say "I went 3 - 0 with this WW cube deck and was bored out of my mind?" Have you never played a Standard aggro deck where the game just played itself? There are plenty of boring beatdown decks out there, and this has nothing to do with some ivory tower...

    General Multi-Picks

My approach is to make playing aggro more fun. People used to be similar in my cube, now they love being the beatdown. It's not really a power-level issue (but that helps)

    General Multi-Picks

I also don't think that having "too many one-drops" is really diluting your draft pool. How many slots do you even open up by doubling? Especially when you consider cube drafts already have 24 more cards than retail drafts.
