Because being this skinny and having the ability to fly are setting unrealistic standards for young horses?

I'll fight for this artwork. It might be less iconic, but I think it fits the card better (looking very black instead of red) and displays a higher artistic skill. Also, why would I prefer something other people are nostalgic for?

@Velrun yes. It's even german, as it was back then when I was eleven years old, even though the vast majority of my cube is english. And no, I don't hate white borders. I actually like a white bordered card here and there in the variety of cube card visuals. But of course my position might be...

It was the theme decks name :D https://magic.wizards.com/en/content/ninth-edition-intro-pack-decklists I got the black one and my bedt buddy the blue

My first rares were Nightmare and Underworld Dreams from the "Dead Again" starter deck. The former is still in my cube and has had a huge impact on it's design, uncluding the lower, casual like power level and the support for mono color.

Really good and close, it was the 9th Edition core set, just a few weeks before Ravnica: City of Guilds hit the shelves. But the very first card I've ever owned was a Moonbow Illusionist, which was a gift from another guy in my class after I watched them playing.

You guys will never guess what my first set was ...

It costs zero to suspend though, being able to play a 1-drop alongside it is huge. Especially in a ramp shell.

But either alone shouldn't have the same problem, right? I just worry that people learn about sagas and then assume the class in their next pack is one.

I think the tribal on the captain is no problem, it works perfectly fine with itself. But yeah, if your power level can take it, the Angel is more interesting.

Has any one any experience in terms of mixing Classes with Sagas? I worry a bit about the confusion that these two, appearing in the same draft pool, might cause. Most of my players aren't very enfranchised if they are at all.

I wouldn't focus too heavily on the pair archetypes of your format. These older sets often had mono/pivot archetypes, which can be executed in such a way, that it can lead to a more interesting draft format. A mono {U} theme and a mono {B} theme can also sometimes be combined for a cool and...

I still don't read these, aint nobody got time for that

Jadar, Nephalia Ghoulcaller Has anyone any results on this guy so far, from either cube or retail limited? This morning I realized he might be a great fit for my aggro/sacrifice/zombie decks, but I see him on so many lists here, back to back with some pushed nonsense like the Adversary cycle...

I wanted to plsy Uyo before, but a 4/4 for 6 that you have to untap with and then have to play an instant or sorcery and then pay more mana to copy it, that's just too fragile even for the CCC.

Hm, I'm not sure. This hasn't come up in the one test I was able to play out so far. If this becomes an issue with some specific or even all quests, I would have to set an upper limit to each quest, so players wouldn't go on forever doing this. But maybe the option to concede will do the trick...

Okay, a big update is coming. There are three reasons for it: 1) Lifegain turns into a {W}-based pivot archetype. Was basically the last pair archetype in my cube in {W} {B} with only minimal support (but no payoffs) in {G}. I'm not a fan of pair archetypes really. Sure, you can work with...

Blacksmithy loving that card makes me worry it's too good for my cube in the end

Necrogoyf How powerful is this thing? Anyone actually tried it? I want to expand madness into black and I like this a lot since it is also very playable in selfmill decks and the like (and it has an old border version!). But I am a little scared that it might be too big of a threat with the...

It's hard for Jerren, he's got to deliver those apples as scheduled!
