It turns out this is called Split Strike.

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

What would happen if you curved into Blade Splicer? Two 3/3 Golems with slightly worse double strike? Surveil 1 would be too good... or would it?

I tried this out for Foundations and found that the following 12 cards are part of the set but not in boosters: (game:paper) set:fdn -in:booster Why aren't those cards in boosters? What's going on?

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

While I understand where you are coming from, in limited there is a cost to putting the card in your deck: you have spent a draft pick. Unless you are playing a desert cube, the basics are free.

I think it stands for "Make Playing Cards", boringly enough.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

This is true but bear in mind that you can get up to 9 mana worth of permanents onto the battlefield.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

It's a fairly strong card, but will only be as strong as the permanents you are returning with it. I think it is fun and rewards creative deck building.

The Foundation card Spinner of Souls is a nice payoff for your creatures dying, though not if they are tokens.

I hadn't realised that art cards count as dual faced. Nor had I realised how many universes beyond cards there are. Also, the art for Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is really funny: it looks like the assassin is trying to murder a giant knight.

There were no dungeons in the game until AFR. I would not be surprised to see race tracks as an external game piece, and overtake as an ability that moves you along the track. Unlike dungeons the tracks would be shared and the first player to the end would take the prize. Look forward to it...

Do you think both of them will quit magic forever?

In terms of mana costs that keep a card focused on a certain colour pair, I liked the design of cards like Quandrix Cultivator. I’d like to see it pushed to {G/U}{G/U}{G}{U}, which keeps things focused on that guild but allows a bit of leeway if you don’t see two of each colour on turn four.

I don't really like the play pattern with Riddleform, as you have to cast your spell before combat if you want to attack with it. Jeskai Elder I have played in my cube with some success: as Mondschwein says, it fits into more than one deck type, and even in the aggressive spellslinger decks the...

Well now I know. Classic AI hands top right; bottom right is giving me strong M C Escher vibes. Thank you!

Whatever the mechanical and gameplay benefits, the aesthetic disadvantages of the Test Cards are a huge hurdle for me. If I were to see a card that I absolutely had to include, and could be bothered to design and print a better looking version, maybe one day it would sneak into my cube...

Seems fair to me. Brad is using shock lands rather than ABU duals.

Jumpstart isn't a bad afterlife for cards or strategies that are no longer supported by your Cube(s).

Thank you! The format is fun, but pretty imbalanced and high in variance. There are several individually powerful cards that can run away with the game if unchecked; some combinations of half-decks have more inherent synergy than others; and the decks can sometimes feel clunky if you draw the...

That player with all the cards could even curate the pool to ensure a balanced and enjoyable format, based on feedback from other players. In order to resolve the issue of who gets which cards, maybe you could split the pool so that everyone gets a first choice from a random subset of the...
