No, probaly a 6/5 trample with a situational upside is not even enough. It won't be a vintage cube staple or even warp standard. It is shocking how overpowered instants and sorceries have been (and still are) since the start of MTG.

I can't say anything about that. But let's say your right, they break even on the expense/revenue ratio in comparison with paper cards. Then the big thing is, when they design a paper card, they can use it "for free" in MTGO and Arena.

Hmm if you compare an Alchemy set to a normal set, which is monetized in paper, mtgo and arena, an Alchemy is a lot less important. So it seems logical that they spend less money on artist for it.
