To answer your questions:

Yes, this website hates Green (apparently), and the Aether Hub cube has a basic land box that solely consists of Aether Hubs.

I'm glad the context clues are doing some work. I guess you have to own the cube to look at the basic land box (or draft a deck) (or look at one of the decks someone else has drafted). In the context of it being a contest it's plausible that I should have written a very comprehensive primer, but I like giving people something to explore.

I'm going to assume there's a gentleman's agreement to not vote for your own cube, it's my own child so of course I think it's worthy of victory. Although I'm not sure yet what metrics I should even judge these on.

All these cubes look so neat, I really applaud everyone who submitted this time. And I'm sad I didn't have the time to create my good vs. evil cube :(

My biggest regret here is not putting proportionate effort into my Cube's description, calling out themes, archetypes, etc. because it was so much fun to read through everyone else's. Going to draft my favorites here tonight to figure out the best two for my votes!

Same. By the time the deadline got close and I had tested my cube enough to be comfortable with my final 100, I was too busy with other things to write an awesome primer. In hindsight I think I should have included more Vista's. 24 is definitely on the stingy side for supporting a prismatic subtheme. I believe I could easily lower all 6-ofs to 5-ofs and use the extra slots on Vista's. It's possible Chromatic Star should have more copies as well. Nonetheless, this cube played well in testing, so I might actually refine it!

Sounds right up my alley. You get any work done on it? I assume Black is evil?

I did my "primer" before most of the cube lol. Wish my actual list would have gotten a little more attention in the video. I think the flexibility of using Endless One to fill out the middle and upper curve is really nice.

Went for japahn and Mown, as their angles are both ones I could see myself incorporating into a real design.

japahn's use of flavor is excellent. I once tried building a NO magical elements cube, but found it a little difficult with the way the art is usually done. Just regular dudes fighting. I like the semi magical idea and I think people should be able to dual wield Short Swords, but other than that, I could imagine actually constructing something like this.

Mown didn't get as original as japahn, but they used a mechanic that's dog water (energy) and made it interesting. Definitely feels like a Desert Cube Lite. You don't have to draft all your lands like in a Desert Cube, but you sure as hell better have the mana base on your mind. Not sure how tuned it is, but I can imagine the right ratios giving an excellent tension between greedy 5C Hub decks and their resources while the two color decks have a wonderful time never getting color screwed.

Cool, I had voted for the same two for the same reasons, but honestly I'ld happily draft any of these in real life. You can really tell people put effort into their creations!

Yes, every deck would be based on {W} or {B}, but never {W/B} . I was trying to achieve this by adding lots of multicolored cards combining either color with one of the three other, as well as having somewhat opposing themes.

Humans vs. Zombies
Bounce your own stuff vs. Discard/Hellbent
Going wide vs. Going tall (including reanimator)

But I didn't make it much further

No it would have many multicolored cards in all black and white guilds that aren't Orzhov, and also a handful of monocolored cards in Temur colors, which would've been mostly really flexible tools like ramp, removal, card draw etc.

Well, I think the winner is clear. Unless something really weird happens.
I'm happy that I got 3 votes, even if I didn't vote for myself. (I voted for Total War and Changeling Cube).
It is now just a fight for 2nd place.

Congrats Train!

Commiserations for just missing out japahn, but a well earned second spot still! Your primer was a blast to read, very evocative!

Congrats for the third spot as well Mown. I toyed around with a cube where you had to draft your basic lands as my first concept, but couldn't get it to work. Your execution was ten times better than mine, I really, really like the all Aether Hubs basic land box idea!

Great work all, this was fun to read through! And last but not least, thanks for organizing Jason! :)
