Mtg Variant for very fast games to fit during breaks using a pocket-sized travel deck (54 cards).
Anthems used (Channel, Phyrexian mana, Fastbond - without life penalty, Vedalken Orrery). Lands tap for any colour mana and are any card played facedown which also have flash like every card in the deck. 3 card hand, draw 2 from 2nd player onwards. 20 life.
Grid draft 1v1 or draw from the same library.
it's been fun playtesing and it's at a point where I'm pretty happy with the card selection. I've included some favourite cards of mine and scaled some powerful cards down using the sharpie trend as inspiration (only in some cases making cards worse), but mostly better. Just trying to balance for fun casual games that have a lot of interactivity.
I like this "cubelet" type of format because it is more of a bringing your collection to share with others rather than to win at all costs, it's more for the shared experience than a feeling of superiority. It's about how each player can bring their own ideas for others to play along with.
