A thread about cool decks to take inspiration from.
This deck Gifts-powered deck from the Kamigawa-Ravnica standard shows how different apparently narrow cards can be put to work together. The basic idea of the deck is that you set up a Gifts package and bring back some dragons with Goryo's Vengance. Then, before they go back on their own you sacrifice them to Greater Good for massive filtering.
Alternatively, you can ramp a bit and play them naturally by paying six mana. You can still use Greater Good if they try to remove your dragons from play. Win-win.
In general, I think there's a lot of potential in reanimator strategies beyond cheating in mana costs. But they are difficult to do well. I think using Corpse Dance as a blink effect can be a great example. Would love to see more effects like this in cube.
