The Rules

50 card rectangles this time. Drafts as normal.
1) Everyone make a thread for your drafting. The first post should have a spoiler for your drafted cards, and a spoiler for your opening rectangle (found below). The file with the rectangles is in the next post.
2) No peaking. Peaking is a huge advantage in this format, so please avoid looking at anything other than the rectangle you are currently drafting. If there are two rectangles sitting waiting for you, only look at the first one.
3) New: Signalling. I wrote code to ensure that there is at least 1 card per basic color identity (W, U, B, R, G) per pack. You can use this to kind of deduce some stuff about your packs.
4) After you make your picks, pass the rectangle on to the next thread. A passes to B, B to C, etc.

I'll test the deck and let you know, it's honestly been so long since I tried this sort of thing. I've already added some 5-color City of Brass type lands (and Gemstone Mine) and Manamorphoses as support in the next build.

It's possible the blades are just a dud but I want to try.

That was exactly my thinking as well--they're cool cards, and Alara was when I started playing a lot, so they hold a lot of nostalgia for me. It seems like a really fun way to push 3/4/5c aggro, so props for giving it a go!

So, I made some adjustments to the deck and threw in a couple cards that will be in the next update (cheating, I know). It was pretty consistently goldfishing Turn 4/5, which I think is a good pace. We'll see in testing how it holds up to any sort of defense.
