I like it too. In my lower power environment I have plenty of Adventure creatures, Abundant Growth or Sarcomancy type cards in addition to lands as you mention. I’d like to squeeze in a few more sagas to really set up a value engine.

I guess I associate Black with big creatures with a downside like Rotting Regisaur or Titania, Rugged Rumbler. I’m not a stickler for colour pie though, so don’t mind seeing new space being explored.

The new Bilbo, Dreadhorde Arcanist and Snapcaster all look fantastic alongside this card. Red now has a surprising amount of cards that have counters, so that might be a direction to explore as well.
