The white card draw topic pops up often on Rosewater's Blogatog blog. Here's a decent answer.

I did run Perpetual Timepiece in my cube for a bit. I was the only one I ever saw run it in a deck, but it was fun with Crawling Sensation.

I just got around to updating for Core 2019, and I'm trying this in white. Militia Bugler

A friend of mine opened a pack with a print run hiccup. The same two commons were repeated in the middle. It went Eviscerate, some worse common, then Eviscerate and that same worse common. Then the pack carried on like everything was normal.

I think the Sagas lay out their rules text in a nice, clear way. But I really don't like what happens to the art as a result. It's possible that I just don't like this specific piece of art, so I'm still hopeful that Sagas will look at least not too strange in the end.

I typically like drafting these masters sets, but the cards Wizards chooses to print at mythic is often really frustrating. Unless a card is mostly really expensive because of its scarcity, like with Mana Drain and probably with Imperial Recruiter, these sets don't do much or anything to make...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Has Faith of the Devoted been good for you? I was looking at bumping back up the discard and madness in my black and red sections and I thought about it, but it was always so bad in retail draft.

I've periodically tried making life-gain focused decks a thing in B/W and even R/W, but the payoffs are never good enough. Is this good enough in a lower-power environment? I'm not sure, but I think I'll try making a herd of horses.

Outpost Siege Imperial majesty, this card has brought me joy and it is my hope that it will please you, too. It draws more cards for when you need to throw more burn at your opponent's face or trigger Young Pyromancer or Talrand, Sky Summoner. If that is not what you need, it also plays nicely...

Sylvan Safekeeper It protects your creatures from removal. It works nicely with Titania, Protector of Argoth With Crucible of Worlds or Life from the Loam it can help trigger landfall every turn.

Anger doesn't make tokens or trigger prowess, though. It does do the haste thing for free, though.

Hammer of Purphoros It'll let Young Pyromancer tokens swing right away, triggers prowess, gives haste to aggro and tokens to midrange or control decks.

    Sets Battle for Zendikar Spoilers

I hope they do something interesting with Devoid, but I'm afraid it'll actually end up playing like a tribal mechanic. I'm really excited about Awaken, though. Cards with more modes and more options are always exciting.

I do have a cube that pushes morph, and I was thinking about bumping up how much green cared about morph anyway. That lizard seems pretty exciting in that environment. It seems awful in anything else, though.

    Graveyard morph cube

Thanks for expanding on the, Modin. I get what you're talking about. I think they might be a little too underpowered still, but I'm also wondering if I have too many two-drops in the cube. It wasn't a problem in the first three drafts: Morphs were being played and were fine, but I'll keep an...

    Graveyard morph cube

I thought about Bitter Revelation. I was favoring the instant speed of Moonlight Bargain because of the value of keeping mana up when you have morphs in play, but black is really the lightest on morphs and the heaviest on delve, so perhaps getting the one-mana discount by using Bitter Revelation...

    Graveyard morph cube

Finally had a chance to draft the cube -- three two-person drafts. It was interesting, and I got trounced each match -- which is not what usually happens. Ahead of the draft I made one change to what I outlined in the original post. I mentioned I felt Green and White had a lot of overlap and I...

    Graveyard morph cube

I'd bounced Augury Owl vs. Sigiled Starfish off each other in my head and chose a deeper scry rather than repeatable scry. I hadn't though about it as "enter the battlefield" vs. "tap." The Khans life-gain lands first got the nod as low-power mana fixing, but the extra utility of the scrylands...

    Graveyard morph cube

I'm working on a small cube (250 cards) designed to be drafted by two or four people. I want games to both have a high level of mystery by liberally using both morph and manifest cards, but I also want to push using the graveyard as a resource and its own dynamic zone. I'm concerned that some of...

    Sets [FRF] Fate Reforged spoilers

I loved playing Standard while Affinity was a beast. But mostly that was because all of the players at my store who had the cards to build Affinity mostly didn't play it. Usually one of us would break ranks, decide we wanted to win that week and play the damn deck, but the fact that we were all...
