Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

You actually can to an extent - in COckatrice: Card Database > Manage Sets. Most of the alternate arts are in seperate sets from the main set. Uncheck them and they won't appear.

Sets (MH2) Modern Horizons 2 Previews

One of my favorite themes in cube ever is when I made reanimation RW. R for the looting and discards, W for the spells like this. And then chain together Reya and Karmic Guide, and it feels completely different then B reanimation

    General Unstable Spoiler Unthread

I think if I run contraptions (which I want to) I'll have 5 "decks" of 1-each of the 9 contraptions per watermark. Then players that want will either get one randomly or pick one. (9 contraptions should be enough per player.)

Grimlock was in the 3-0 deck at my last cube night. Played very nice with a couple werewolves. And a "cheap" 8/8 isn't bad either.

    General Commander 2017 Spoilers

For me, since I run 100% proxied cube anyway (not so much for $ as I want the same template and up to date wording on all cards) it's fine for me. I have no issues removing unnessecary rules text for 1v1. Cut the first line and change the activation cost to "Choose your opponent:"

Maro confirmed on his blog that Transformers refers to both the robots and the Transforming cards. I may add grimlock to my Shards cube and work in a werewolf theme.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

Ironically, this is exactly one of the main reasons I do the ULD. I have a method where I track all the picks for the cube, and do a post draft report (http://barnestorming.net/franks-draft-7/ for an example). This takes about 7-10 min to take pictures of the draft stacks, and the ULD fills in...

    Card/Deck RW Reanimator

So I tried something radically different for my cube this month. I was looking for a Boros theme and somewhere, I forget if it was here or somewhere else I saw RW reanimator. Red for the discard outlets (paired with a little bit of madness), white for the reanimation spells. I loved it...

    Sets Commander 2016 Spoilers

Not just the above, but theres still the ability to kill the creature it's attatched to. then counterspell away on the next creature they play. I'm mixed on it myself, but it'll probably make it to one of the testing slots.

Tokens count too, so an Eldrazi domain type cube could trigger this easily AND have big things worth cheating into play..

Well, as long as everyone is being semantic, I'll jump in to remind people that NWO only refers to how complex cards are allowed to be at common, no more, no less. The game paradigm shift that people are talking about would be modern design. Lightning Bolt is fine at common under NWO...

    Sets [KLD] Kaladesh Spoilers Thread

This set so far is exactly why I dedicate an entire card per pack to testing out new cards. Some sets if feels like I'm scraping the bottom. This time I can easily dedicate 12+ slots to energy to see if it's any good.

    General Build arounds and seeding

I'm considering experimenting with seeding build around cards in the first pack so that they aren't wasted in pack 3. What cards are commonly run that you would consider build arounds? For clarity, I'm thinking cards that almost have to be picked early to be useful, such as Wildfire...

    General xMage - custom cubes

Not a programmer, but I think the big problem with those cards is that they alter not the game, which is designed to have altering rulesets, but the draft which is built on being the same ruleset, regardless of the packs. Also, the amount of work is usually decided (by Wizards at least for...

    General xMage - custom cubes

no harder then MTGO really, and it works cross platform for mac or windows. The competition is honestly not as good as mtgo, but then, if you use if for forum drafts, then that's not an issue. There's a bit of polish that MTGO has I think, but it's worth trying out IMO
  16. Boromir of Borg

    General xMage - custom cubes

While I generally tend to MTGO, not thinking it's as horrible as some do; xMage which is a free way to play MTG with rules enforcement now added a feature where you can draft a custom cube of your making. Make a deck that contains the contents of your cube, save it. Create a new tournament...

General Great Cards to go deep on

Yes, the mana cost is completly why it's hard to run a card that never wants to be in play. ;)

    General Splitting the cube

that of course, is the big question. :) WU: Blink UB: Zombies BR: Steal and Sacrifice, Goblins subtheme RG: Ramp/Wildfire GW: +1/+1 counters WB: work in progress, currently a poorly executed enchantment theme that will 99% change to BW tokens BG: Graveward recursion/Reanimator GU: Also...

    General Splitting the cube

I am finally reaching the point where I have 10 regular cubers, and about to hit 12. Once I hit 12+, I'm splitting into two pods. Instead of the pods being possibly very uneven in card quality and themes, I have been considering the following: splitting the Gold cards and related...

    General Draft Tracker tool

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UPf5HMKztablo75Mv6xALGjDSDACbpCWvq5zFPNUKu8/edit?usp=sharing - I've never really used google docs, and this is converting my (OS X) Numbers sheet via excel to google sheets, so let me know if there are any errors. (Or if there's anything I need to...
